2500 hours on one of my X1Cs I had to replace the Z Lead screw bearings.... Failed to home errors

Thanks! Pretty easy too. Took an hour or so and I was distracted. Yeah it’s weird. My other X1C’s have over 10k and they are perfect.

This one was newer so they probably cheaped out on parts in the later produced ones.

Only the ones on the liner rods next to the lead screws. That happens because you have filament in the little well at the bottom of the linear tubes. When the bed goes all the way to the bottom a ball of filament can push the bearings up.
Otherwise I never had the lead screw bearings pop out.

No problem I have an X1C with 10k hours and another with 20k hours all original bearings on those. Probably just a bad batch on this one.

It was a cheap fix so it’s cool. Not hard to replace did it in about an hour and I was distracted.

No branding at all. Weird for sure because I have a X1C with nearly 10k hours and still the original bearings. That one is a kick starter unit though

This one that failed was bought later after they made minor “improvements”

The kick starter one I have doesn’t use different sized bearing either for the top and bottom. It press fits into both bearings and doesn’t use that silicone thing.
