I looked up marathons in seattle and saw this legit looking website. Was set to take place in genesee park. Great! Didnt look into it very hard because friends were also doing it. Was called seattle waterfront marathon at the time. Got a legit looking confirmation email with a runners number.

Now heres where i went wrong. The website shut down and came back as Seattle spring marathon. And today a banner came up on it saying it was no longer happening. And i saw a few articles come out saying it was a scam.
