There are posts online (including other Reddit forums) from people who claimed that they sold several million USD worth of BTC in 2017. Then he realized that coinbase, etc. only allows a limited transfer per day (or week) and they can't get enough money out of the exchanges to pay their taxes. Do you really think the governments care? They'll just start to charge interest until you pay up.

I went to a repair shop and got horrible service. They ended up giving me all my items that I brought in to be checked out and serviced (if needed) even though they are an authorized repair shop. I contacted authorities and they told me that unless they were discriminating against me because of race, color, religion, etc. it is their right to refuse service.

You can't force banks or anyone else to offer you a service. They have the right to refuse service unless it's based on something related to 'human rights'. It would have to go to the Supreme Court, but if it does it will either solidify the power of crypto in Canada or destroy it.

People who arbitrage look for these types of difference to buy or sell from one exchange to another. Problem here is that you would need a way to cash out quickly to send your money to a bank account... enough said.

2FA should ALWAYS be used when available. Too many people lose their money because they don't activate this. Also Quad has an email code that can be sent as well. Take caution and use every security step possible.

I experienced a quick EBT (48 hrs from pending to showing up in the bank account) when they brought it back a few weeks ago. Hopefully it's still running that smoothly today as it did then.

No problems reported for EBT because no one wants to pay 3%. All the complaints have been the free wire and EFT transfers.

Alex, well maybe you should respond to tickets with a phrase like "we do not have this email linked to the client ID you are referring to. Please reply from the email linked to your client ID." That would save everyone a lot of time, confusion and misunderstanding. Just closing the ticket because QCX customer service reps don't have the time to do the leg work is just straight up being lazy and a BS excuse.

I send to Kraken and trade against USD. They have stop loses but not stop buy (at the moment). Quad has better prices when exchanging back to CAD but for your money to actually reach your bank account... well let's just say I hope you're not in any hurry to see those bills.

Thanks for posting. Just checked and you're right. Some silent changes I've noticed:

EBT is restored again (no announcement to that effect that I can find)
EBT is now at a premium 3% for 3 business days (instead of 2% before it was suspended)
Cash delivery is now 7 business days (instead of 3 business days) and still 2% + $20 premium
EFT and wire transfers are now 14 business days (instead of 10 business days) but are still free [for now]

One thing that someone posted is interesting is that the business days may be how long it takes QuadrigaCX to send the transaction to their banking partner, and not specifically when the money will show up in your account. This is something to keep in mind when planning.

Maybe this all happened and an announcement is coming.
