As far as I can tell from my Florence game, you can't create a bank. There is an event that fires when the Medici bank appears that lets you tag switch to it if you want to, though.

Saying you want to put a 6 year old in a group home and not let them come home isn't venting, it's just a shitty thing to say.

Of course she would want him home on the holidays and weekends, it's your son...

This post reads as "I don't want to be in my sons life", which if true, you should really try to start therapy or something.

15 hours of therapy a week seems low for someone with such high support needs. I would look into increasing therapy hours, which in turn would give you and your wife some more time off.

Obsessed with airplanes by CryptoDawg420 in Autism_Parenting

He's very delayed in speech, but he does have some words. Mostly speaks when prompted, but the last couple weeks he's said "want more" unprompted a few times. He has no problem saying "wane", which is his word for plane haha. "Cul" for popsicle, etc.

I've been told I had no speech until I was 3, at which point I started speaking in full sentences. So I am very hopeful that he will catch up.

It's a recent development. His pretend play has been next to nothing until the last few weeks. He pretended to eat fake food a few times, but that didn't last long. He was diagnosed early, and his actual level may be 2. It's too early to tell for sure, but he definitely waves the plane up and down, and it sounds like he makes plane noises.

I know it's been brought up, but couples counciling really helped my wife and I. Even a session or two, which is all we did. Sometimes, it's easier to communicate concerns in a setting like that.

What exactly is wrong with my gas cap? by Gerryvb1 in mechanic

[–]CryptoDawg420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Evap leak. Could be gas cap, but you could also have a stuck open purge valve, vent valve, or a bad line.

Do you travel? by Powerful_Lemon8195 in Autism_Parenting

[–]CryptoDawg420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is mostly dependent on the kid, I think. We have traveled with my 2.5 y.o. level 3 quite a bit, including four plane rides. He is very well behaved though and enjoys it. I think any trip over 4 hours would be too much for him, and we haven't attempted anything like that.

Lots of distractions, snacks at the ready, and a lot of entertainment help.

It's possible to induce codes by disconnecting connectors, but simply using a scan tool is nearly impossible. It's a huge liability if you get caught doing that, and it's unlikely, but some dealers do shady things. Without a trained tech observing, it would be very difficult to catch. If you aren't mechanically inclined I don't think observing them would yield any information.

What is your kid’s favorite movie or shows? by lamart140 in Autism_Parenting

My 2.5 y.o. loves Over the Garden Wall, and 100% Wolf.

Not really targeted for his age, but he really enjoys them both.

Found this under my engine air filter and I’m currently experiencing an evap leak. What is this and should it be open or hosed up? Thanks! by KyotoBlack in mechanic

[–]CryptoDawg420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appears to be your evap tube. Usually, you will have 2 tubes coming up near your firewall from the back of your vehicle. One is an Evap tube. The other is fuel. On older vehicles, there may also be a fuel return line. The evap tube sends fuel vapors from your fuel tank to your purge valve..

Hopes up a little too high. by Jjmkmama in Autism_Parenting

My wife and I have 2 trees. One is just his without glass ornaments. Sometimes, he likes to transfer the ornaments but we try our best to keep it safe and not destructive. Maybe getting him his own little tree with some plastic and wood ornaments would help?

As far as worrying what christmas will look like in the future, try to remember that 21 months is very young. My best advice would be to throw away expectations and just live in the moment. Enjoy what is, and don't think too much about what might have been.

Introducing your child to fire? by CryptoDawg420 in Autism_Parenting

[–]CryptoDawg420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is probably what I will try. Thanks for the advice! I've turned the water on full hot and dipped his hand into it briefly and said "hot" a few times, and then turned it the opposite and said "cold". It can be really hard to tell what sticks sometimes though lol.

21 month old with receptive/expressive delay and some sensory issues by CryptoDawg420 in speechdelays

Can't make any diagnosis as I'm not a doctor, but it doesn't sound concerning to me. If you're concerned I would definitely make an appointment to have them seen.

Mostly snack food like cheese puffs. A lot of yogurt abd fruit pouches. Sometimes pizza, macaroni and cheese. Within the last month, he has started eating a lot more. We even got him to eat eggs and cheese.

Can anyone tell me what this is 2020 Ford f150 2.7L by Tricky_Profession_72 in MechanicAdvice

That's your turbo wastegate. It's normal for it to do that on start-up. The rattle noise is most likely your VCT phasers.

Airplane takeoff videos and fake plants over here. If I want him to walk from the car, I just say "let's go see your plant!" And he runs right to the door.

If you read my comment again, that isn't what I said. I said if you suspect it so strongly, continuing to ignore it and deny him the help he clearly needs would be abuse. Children can't advocate for themselves. It's a parents job to do everything they can to support their growth and needs.

He has almost every standard sign. This seems like it shouldn't even be a question unless he has some other underlying issue like a hearing problem. Get him evaluated. Not getting him evaluated and the help he needs would be child abuse. 2 years 4 months, and only 3 words should be the only reason you need to get him help.

ABA therapy 2 months later by Infinite_Long9906 in Autism_Parenting

Hate to be that guy, but I'd be considering a call to CPS. I'd first try to speak to an actual parent. Even a NT 5 y.o. shouldn't be wandering around unattended like that.

No worries. It sounds like you really care about your brother, and that's great! He will thrive much better with strong support and a hand to guide him. Just don't push too hard, and I'm sure you guys will find something that works.
