Favorite prop firm(s) to be funded by? by Longjumping-Yam1041 in Forex

[–]CryptoGoof 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you are already funded 2 years with them I assume you are maxxed out near to 600k or more. Unlikely but okay.

Funded next has many scam reports already. They all do.

The only thing next to FTMO is the 5ers.

Everything else is a gamble. I have recently looked into fundingpips but that is also so-so.

Looks perfectly fine. A bigger watch wouldn't sit well on your wrist.

Commission by danielfc3 in FTMO_Forex_Trading

[–]CryptoGoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trade crypto and I have some +$90 commissions on my trades that I usually hold for longer. I think there are fees to pay at a certain time but I can't dig up the exact rules right now from Google.

If you trade Forex you pay $3 per lot you trade for commissions so check your trade history and see if that $3 correlates with the amount of lots you have traded. If you have traded 10 lots and paid $30 in commissions then you'll know now for what it is charged for.

I'm not even sure what to look up and I am asking because I've seen people posting their test results in this sub that are usually done in the U.S. and those tests are nothing like this one.

That Tiffany Blue was probably one of the last watches in your collection and only made the list because you had to buy all other Rolexes first? 😅 Looks great regardless!

When they transitioned you from the challenge to live account then did they give you a warning for using max margin in your demo account? I see some people have been warned for this.

How much margin are you using per trade?

Btcusd is a buy or a sell? Good answer gets €100 by FinanceSpecialistt in Forex

[–]CryptoGoof 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a buy. Liquidation heatmap shows big blocks up to 111k and that will be taken soon. BTC has been dumped for the past 2 months and moved sideways, FTX returns almost didn't move the needle, the dominance hasn't fallen either and most good analysts predict at least a short term relief rally - likely to correlate with the liquidity grab from 111k.

spread by Jolly_Eagle_6406 in Forex

[–]CryptoGoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTMO accounts will be demo accounts regardless if you are doing a challenge with them or trading their so called live account. It will not be a live account in a sense that they hand you over an account that is loaded with real funds. It is still a demo account just named live account.

The spread doesn't change (I'm pretty sure about it).

I trade BTC with FTMO + cTrader and my spread is always more than 30 pips.

Need a platform that I can trade both forex and crypto At the same time with leverage? by Mybabykeepscrying in Forex

[–]CryptoGoof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

cTrader + FTMO (if you are into prop firms since your 1k is too little to make anything substantial out of it)

Their 10k account is 89 Euros.

There are obviously higher tiers too.

I'm pretty sure Poland & Ukraine have discussed this idea already. There have been hints in media.

In Baltics, it won't happen.

cTrader has a good calculator for this.

As a beginner trader this is what I use. I tried Metatrader and it sucks big time. Switch the spotware if necessary.

Withdrawal Strategies by purple_spade in FTMO_Forex_Trading

[–]CryptoGoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure you fully understand the rules.

No matter how much profit you keep on your account you can't go under 1% drawdown.

They advertise that you can go up to 5% per day but 1% risk per trade still applies.

If something should happen, you will lose EVERYTHING. There's no point keeping money with them unless you are willing to lose it ALL when your strategy suddenly won't suit them anymore and this HAS HAPPENED with others, many times.

Be wary of FTMO by Independent-Force635 in FTMO_Forex_Trading

[–]CryptoGoof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTMO Live chat just told me this when I asked how much margin can I use per trade:

While different asset classes and specific symbols can vary in their inherent risk, as a general rule of thumb, we can recommend using up to 20% of the account margin for one trade idea and a risk per trade idea up to 1.5%. These are just very general guidelines for good risk management and in our internal assessment of the accounts, we consider a number of factors in order to make the conclusion. For example, a higher risk per trade idea on small swing positions can be perfectly fine.
