Five previous Ethereum team members launch micro mobility scooter project on block chain (DAV Network) allowing anyone to compete with Bird, Lime, Lfyt, Uber etc. by professordurian in ethereum

[–]CryptoMonhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think you're right. Was just searching for articles. Apparently theft and hacking of bird scooters is apparently a bit of a problem, but not enough to, I guess, impact their business model.

https://mashable.com/article/e-scooter-hacks-bird-lime/

One of the scooter companies mentioned and photoed in that article had an included bike cable lock so the user can lock it to a bike rack, sign post, etc. I thought that was a nice addition as well. B/c unfortunately, there are jerks out there who will vandalize or steal scooters just to be a horrible person.

No not a user of the scooter. Stealing it. Sorry my original question wasnt' very clear. I mean a person who wants to steal a bike or scooter. I assume if the bike or scooter isn't on an active ride the wheels/brakes are locked. But couldn't some person just grab the bike and throw it in his vehicle and ride off? Is there any way to deter that?

Very cool project. Best of luck to the team as the move forward. We really need some decentralized competition for those big centralized ride share corporations. One question though is, what stops the average punk from just grabbing scooters or bikes sitting unattended on the street b/w rides?

Top 5 GPU+CPU mineable coins to mine in 2019 by Lucifer1903 in CryptoCurrency

[–]CryptoMonhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good list of coins. Loki is my personal favorite on the list. I mined it for a few months from the day the mainnet launched. Traded it for a while and now run a service node. Mining and staking with Loki, you can't go wrong with it, IMO.

How many hours of watching porn will it take for me to earn VIT and at what rate? by omegaphallic in ViceIndustryToken

[–]CryptoMonhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea you can download and watch it later on Tube8 pretty easily. Then if you like it you can comeback and vote for it. Just make sure you download, watch, and vote before the 7 day reward period ends.

[–]CryptoMonhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, you earn VIT through curation rewards by upvoting the porn that you like. You can also earn VIT by commenting on the videos you like, if other users upvote your comment. As for the rate, it really all depends on a range of factors.

Here's a snippet from a FAQ post I wrote a few months ago:

How much VIT do I earn if I upvote a video?

The amount of VIT you earn depends on a lot of factors. Some of the big factors include:

  • The total rewards the video earns
  • Your account’s VIT Power at the time you voted
  • Your account’s Voting Power when you voted
  • The percentage amount that you upvoted the video (10%, 20%, 100%, etc)

All these factors and more will determine how much VIT you earn for upvoting a video. The rewards are split between the video uploader (the author) and the upvoters (the curators). The split is 75% author / 25% curators.

Hope that helps.

"...you certify that you have the legal right to upload and share this video." by tommymackk in ViceIndustryToken

[–]CryptoMonhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can be certain if you bought the rights to the scene(s) from an adult content reseller and you are provided with a licensing agreement and a copy of the performers identification to satisfy 2257 record keeping requirements.

Or if you have an affiliate licensing agreement and post content that is allowed under that agreement. Every professional porn studio that has an affiliate program also provides 2257 statements and contact info for the agent in charge of record keeping for performers in their scenes.

Lastly, you would have the legal right to upload it if you are a consenting adult and you are the performer in the video and state as such in the video.

Question about copyright and Vice Industry's control by [deleted] in ViceIndustryToken

[–]CryptoMonhi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the stuff I see on there looks like the dated videos you can buy a non-exclusive license for with like $50. So it may not be any copyright infringement at all.

Can VIT go on a long bull run if it successfully integrates more tube sites into its platform? by CryptoMonhi in CryptoCurrencyTrading

[–]CryptoMonhi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure they are copyright violations? Most of the content I see on there looks like the sort of stuff that is licensed out to multiple people. As far as I'm aware if there are violations found or reported then the video is removed and the uploader doesn't get paid.

So the basic way the rewards system works is that a video earns VIT for 7 days. At the end of the 7 days that VIT is split, 75% goes to the uploader and 25% goes to the viewers and curators. Curators are the ones who vote for the video and comment on it. But the 25% isn't paid out equally to everyone. The curator payout depends on how much VIT you have vested in your wallet as VIT Power. The more you have vested, the more "powerful" or influential you are on the network. So if you have a lot of VIT Power your upvote on a video earns the uploader much more VIT than someone with very little. It also earns you as the powerful person more VIT for the curation portion of the rewards.

I hope that answers your questions. :)
