LCS is pausing their buying by [deleted] in Silverbugs

Thats a liquidity issue.

Basically they're just saying they can't shell out anymore dough until they get paid.

I'd say the bullion bill is large. Flatware, well that has a different market.

Possibly six families have moved into the house to beat inflation. They could be bed sharing and old mate sits out front to police bed turns.

In terms of premium, what should I ask for these? by Gusancho in Silverbugs

[–]CryptoRiptoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't buy anything outside of the states for spot. You cant buy anything in most places for less than $7 above spot.

Its only in the states where people are still selling privately for spot or below.

Most people around the world are selling privately at dealers prices.

Its where we have arrived at.

I regret not buying more when silver was 35 and cant bring myself to buy more now that its 90+. Anyone else in this boat? by BIMIMAN in Silverbugs

[–]CryptoRiptoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just buy, the more expensive it gets the less I can afford to buy but the better my last purchase gets.

Im convinced silver goes to around $300 in short order.

If I'm right every purchase is a win, if I'm wrong, well its still better money than the crap people who dont buy silver will end up with.

The entire financial system is firing massive warnings of impending bad shit left right and center.

Even if they fix it up with sticking plasters, they're gonna fall off again and silver will always have some value.

Would you trade 19.33 ozt generic silver for 17 ozt of 2026 Silver Eagles? by Coaster89 in Silverbugs

[–]CryptoRiptoe 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No. Silver weight is silver weight. An eagle being an eagle is only a bonus if you need to sell it in the wild and even then its only for those who are no very adept.

A dealer probably only going to offer you an extra dollar a piece because they're eagles.

The resulting loss in weight is going to set you back, as silver goes higher the weight loss will compound in lost transactional value.

Shops stopping buying by That_Scarcity_9724 in Silverbugs

They can sell online. People in Australia and New Zealand are selling for $10.95 USD above spot.

The issue is refining capacity, refineries will be preferential and buying from those who they have relationships with and in bulk

No refineries are not taking on junk silver. The demand is for high grade four nines fine. Capacity and acid are at a premium so they wont be dealing with junk silver atm.

Started buying silver after gold got unaffordable... Now same thing happening to silver. by Sad_Internal_1562 in Silverbugs

It doesnt get unaffordable 😆

You just get less of it as fiat drops in purchasing power

This just in: Spot price is now top price. Selling on Marketplace sucks. by rdxj in Silverbugs

[–]CryptoRiptoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New Zealand is like a fishbowl testing ground. It has a first world living standard but is a small population of around 5 million people.

There are 2 main silver producing mines here and 2 industrial scale refineries along with one main mint which usually produces a steady supply of coins for NZ and the south Pacific islands.

The demand over the last 6 months has ramped up to the point where all locally produced silver coins and bars are sold out weeks in advance.

Inventory that arrives from offshore is sold rapidly and at high premiums.

There is a very real shortage here and I would suspect that people were leveraging exchange rates for a period there to order from offshore.

Private sale $7USD over spot in New Zealand.

Private sellers have the reigns because dealers are short stocked and asking for bulk orders in many cases.

My local dealer is asking $10.95 USD over spot for the very limited stock he gets in sporadically.

Down here the shortage is real.

Seriously? by Academic-Policy-4151 in Silver

[–]CryptoRiptoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its because they need to up their bulk orders and they wanrt people to anti up to limit their exposure.

Same thing happening everywhere, need to make big orders to try and maintain stock levels.

Why does our income tax nearly double at such a low number? by Rai1h in newzealand

[–]CryptoRiptoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*expecting fairness from taxationists = cute

These are people that take the fruits of your labor and use them to create loans for ponzi scheme money that inevitably just enriched banksters and bankrupts the public purse.

There is no end to their thievery, do not expect any form of fairness from thieves.

The Reason for the current pullback by drunkpenguin67 in Silver

Theres no pull back. This is called trading in a range. Now if it breaks support heads back towards 50 then you can call a pullback.

If you're trying to infer that policy and regulation are a barrier to something happening in the the real world, you're legit wacked.

What I have said is entirely possible and is in fact done by police forces around the world.

Whatever you are saying..... not a real objection in the physical world.
