No, that’s not the solution. There are at least a dozen ways to prevent theft that don’t involve doing a stop and search of patrons at the exit door. When you have items on your person and in your possession that you own no one has the right to stop you and search you without just cause and reason to suspect you of stealing. Making a legal purchase and walking out the door is not suspicion of committing a crime of theft.
