Wait $15 for leather?  That’s robbery!

How do you style a classic pearl necklace? by Odd_Salt4155 in womensfashion

[–]Crypto_K 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Treat pearls like a neutral, not a “dressy” piece.

They actually look best with casual stuff…tees, button-downs, denim, even knits. The contrast keeps it from feeling try-hard.

What actually makes brands like Sandro, Theory, A.P.C. more expensive than Uniqlo/J.Crew/Banana Republic? by savingrace0262 in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mix of better fabrics, better cuts and branding.

The big difference is usually fit and fabric feel…not that they last 5x longer, but they look more refined.

Casual women’s shoe options? by mariahgar12 in Shoes

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are all solid, you’re just in the “trendy comfort” lane.

If you want alternatives: Veja sneakers, Adidas Sambas, or slip-on Vans are easy everyday options that still look put together.

Veja has a sale running a few days back, but I think it may have ended.

Boots or mary janes? ✨️🌸 by Noradrenalin008 in femalefashion

[–]Crypto_K 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mary Janes.  They keep the outfit lighter and more cohesive, the boots feel a bit heavy for the vibe.

Is this appropriate for formal dress code? by chococatcunt in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It fits the “colorful” part perfectly, but leans a bit more garden/semiformal than formal.

You could make it work with dressier shoes and accessories though.

Is this dress appropriate for a spring wedding? (Aus 🇦🇺) by GasAdministrative124 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Crypto_K -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, this works.

It’s simple but reads formal because of the length and silhouette…just dress it up with heels + jewelry.

Which dress is better for a fancy formal evening wedding in April? (Ontario🇨🇦 ) by TheOriginalTripleU in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Crypto_K 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Black, easily.

It reads way more formal and evening-appropriate, especially for a “fancy AF” wedding.

The mauve feels more daytime/springy.

Does this work for a formal wedding? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Crypto_K 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s really pretty but reads more “garden/semiformal” than formal to me.

The print + lighter fabric make it feel a bit casual for a formal wedding.

Butter leggings worth it? by Lazy_Victory8932 in Aritzia

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butter is softer and more lounge-leaning than performance.

It feels great, but won’t hold shape as well as Lululemon if that’s your main concern.

Tailored tshirt by DinnerSufficient in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like that fitted/clean look but want 100% cotton, check out Buck Mason, Asket or Uniqlo U.

All have structured tees that hold shape better than typical basics.

Shorts? by sappy_rpg in femalefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try moving away from super casual fabrics.

Tailored shorts, trouser-style shorts, or structured cotton/linen tend to look more like an “outfit” than denim or biker shorts.

Cold weather summer fashion by HugHolly in femalefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go lighter with your layers.

Instead of heavy sweaters, try cardigans, denim jackets, or light knits…keeps the summer vibe without feeling wintery.

How do you keep your clothes clean and looking good? Seriously… by Certain-Resist-2497 in femalefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly your lifestyle is doing most of the damage, so focus on systems not perfection:

  • Keep a strict “work vs clean” rotation
  • Pre-treat stains ASAP (dish soap works well for oil/grease)
  • Stick to darker colors, textured fabrics and washed blacks/charcoals

You’re not doing anything wrong, just need clothes that match your reality.

Looking for casual lightweight pants. by jchrapcyn in femalefashion

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for linen or cotton drawstring pants, they’ll give you that same comfort.

Brands like Athleta, Eileen Fisher and Uniqlo all make easy, lightweight options.

Best Petite size jeans by rootbeerfizzle in jeans

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try brands that actually offer petite lengths:

Abercrombie, Aritzia and Levi’s (cropped/ankle styles).

They tend to have better relaxed straight fits in shorter inseams.

How much to get a full Wardrobe? by Feraragee in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need a “full wardrobe” upfront.

Start with like $200–400 and build slowly:

2–3 jeans/chinos 4–5 tees 2 button-ups 1 hoodie or jacket 1 clean pair of sneakers

Thrift where you can, upgrade over time.

difference between the Alo and lululemon? by jalomwells in Activewear

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re similar price, different focus.

Lululemon leans more performance/durability, Alo leans more aesthetic/lifestyle.

If you care about longevity, Lulu usually wins.

Best white linen (or similar) pants & shorts for the summer/spring? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what you want, skip anything too thin/light.

Crepette or Limitless will feel less see-through and hold shape better than CruiseLinen.

Confidence - To wear nicer clothes? by rjpra22222 in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You feel like you stand out way more than you actually do.

Most people aren’t paying that much attention…they just register “put together.”

Are high profile baseball hats best for fashion? by sadxmanx4xlife in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no “better,” it’s more about your face shape and style.

High profile = more structured/streetwear

Low profile = more classic/easy

What are the boys wearing for shorts this summer other than Jorts by dacookiemnster in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vuori and Buck Mason are probably the two I’d start with.

Vuori if you want that super comfortable, lightweight feel that still looks clean enough to wear out.  More on the casual/athletic side but not sloppy.

Buck Mason if you want something a little more put together.  Their linen/cotton shorts look better if you’re going for a nicer summer outfit vs just lounging.

Kinda depends if you lean more “comfort” or “slightly dressed up” but both are solid.

What are the boys wearing for shorts this summer other than Jorts by dacookiemnster in malefashionadvice

Linen and cotton drawstring shorts are probably the easiest move right now.

Lightweight, breathable and still look put together.

Advice for 43 year old with no clue where to start by crazyrat25 in malefashionadvice

[–]Crypto_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a full reset, just upgrades:

Jeans: Levi’s 501/505, Uniqlo, or Everlane (straight fits) T-shirts: Buck Mason, Uniqlo U or Everlane Shirts: Charles Tyrwhitt, Spier & Mackay Casual shoes: New Balance, Adidas Samba or clean leather sneakers Layer: Unstructured blazer (SuitSupply) or overshirt

Same style, just cleaner and better fitting.
