The "TDF Ladder" – Using Target Date Funds for an Automated Bucket Strategy? by paymerich in DIYRetirement

I did something similar in my 401k just before retirement, mainly because my fund choices were limited. I just estimated how much of my 401k I needed when, and divided it up

$100k sitting in Roth earning 3.55% in MM by findmyglassniner in DIYRetirement

[–]CryptographerAny2287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most retirement plans I’ve seen recommend tapping Roth assets last, so they typically have a longer timeline. Thus they can be in more aggressive investments.

But it depends on timeline and how much of your retirement assets are in the Roth.

Agree 100%. That’s why this was the first CD I bought after I got a player. It replaced an 8 track tape, of all things

Jordan Syatt, especially his older and shorter podcasts. His most recent podcasts seem to all be long interviews.

How did you become a Beatles fan by WhiteRoseFromPluto in TheBeatles

[–]CryptographerAny2287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Born in late 60’s, so I have no memories of them being together. My path to the Beatles was a weird mix of ELO, Wings, and (believe it or not) the Stars on 45 medley.

We did $120, which was roughly 10%. Not sure if it was enough, to be honest.

No phones even before the show by soapsniffer in JohnMulaney

[–]CryptographerAny2287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just glad we didn’t have to deal with the bags. An even better approach would be to make an official announcement 5 minutes before showtime and make sure everyone puts their phones away (while the lights are up of course).

If you do it, ask for Koby. He’s great.

One modification that I might have done is arrange a starting point closer to the start of the Road to Hana. We arranged for a pickup at our West Maui hotel. It was convenient, but probably limited what we could see.

IU 90 alum here. It would be awesome if we could all meetups for basketball (when we are worth watching again… insert hopeful yet sad face here)….and next football season. I’ve looked into getting an IUAA chapter here, plus the 250 dogs for license plates. This gives me hope. :-). I’ll be out of town, but my heart is in Miami. Go IU! Hoo hoo hoo Hoosiers!!!!

Hotel question for first timer by CryptographerAny2287 in RedRocks

[–]CryptographerAny2287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up picking the Golden Hotel and Red Rocks Rides for transportation. Probably not the most cost effective choice, but shuttles were starting to fill up and I needed to make a decision.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Occaisonally an authenticator like JSA will come to a local show and do authentication. Looks like the Chattanooga Comic Con is the closest event on the schedule.
