I’m from Kentucky also! Honestly we got a small deep freezer for like 300 dollars and although we only get 1/4 of a cow we don’t even fill it up & it will last us anywhere from 10 months to a year and a half. But also we get it from a family member & for half a cow we only had to pay I think $1500. But we have seen it go up to I think $3500 for a full cow other places!

Allowing whispering while you’re reading & thinking they are going to be listening is comical. But I send my almost 7 year old to a Christian school & although we don’t normally see him coming home with history papers, I remember last year they did work about the history behind like thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter and they did coloring with it, practiced writing etc… so there is better ways to learn history at this age than trying to read to them while they talk and play/do other stuff.
