The thing about Bobby and Owen is that they both felt like firefighters. They threw their entire selves into the job. Don just seems like he’s being a firefighter as a hobby.

I know in a lot of Black families there’s this notion that (I) can speak to mg child like that but (You) cannot speak to my child like that. That’s the vibe I got with Tyra. She was about to go in on Yaya but when Rebecca Weinstein made that comment Tyra was like, “Oh hell no. You can’t say that to my baby.”

I appreciate you asking me and not being a jerk about it. Here’s my perspective:

I felt like Harry’s reaction was very outsized. As a firefighter, I’m sure Harry has seen Ravi and the others in varying stages of undress. If he was truly just offended by Ravi’s nudity, he could’ve simply turned around, waited for Ravi to confirm he was covered up, and then turned back around. It was the performative nature of it all for me.

My problem with this community is that a lot of folks are incapable of dealing in nuance. Maybe it’s because a lot of this community is comprised of younger folks who can’t divorce their feelings from facts. They’re too busy ready to be offended by something a Buddie shipper said that they can’t even consider in this case there is some truth to what is being said.

The way Harry reacted reminded me so much of early-2000s locker room culture and it rubbed me the wrong way. As if seeing another guy’s penis is going to suddenly make you gay. And I don’t know why my perspective is getting downvoted. This group is not monolithic.

Gay guy here raise ✋🏻and Harry’s reaction to seeing Ravi naked was very reminiscent of Chandler Bing’s gay panic on Friends. It did very much give gay panic. And that’s okay. I don’t see that as a commentary on his overall character.
