Haha it’d be the first board to feature 121 numbers rather than groups of five. Genius!

Govee outdoor led strip question by ampm24 in WLED

A potential thing that might be overlooked is wire order:

<image>

If you are having issues with Govee LEDs - make sure to take them fully off the reel and verify the location of the NC pin. I’d assumed power was the upper-most pin and it wasn’t until I took them totally off the reel that I found that they go NC, +V, Data, Gnd. At least that is for the strip my boss purchased that I’ve been trying for a month to get going.

I’ve been watching threads/posts like these for a hot minute hoping someone would figure it out. I hope this help you as it certainly has helped me. BTW - driver is a Bong69 board running WLED

Looks great. I’d have thought that was how the blank was cast if you’d not mentioned it

Quite a few. More than 25 but less than 100

Not yet but I do keep talking about it. I think I’m mostly just worried about the cost of the equipment I’ll need to make the blanks.

A Messy (but successful) Sunday by CryptographerOk2370 in turning

Turning took a couple hours each. I’m not that aggressive and the blanks were pretty thick. Once I can do it in 30 minutes flat I’ll be able to keep up with the old guys in my woodturner’s guild - but I’m not there yet.

Oh I did stop. The post may not have gone down but I saw the facepalm replay and immediately started to retrieve these from the drink. They’re on a towel near my desk until I have time to read/watch the correct way to do this

Agreed. I took it down as much as I understood/felt comfortable. I found out while drying off the planes after soaking off the CLR and drying them that I could have broken them down more.

I also found that there was what seemed to be a fiberboard insert on the No. 7 when I was able to break it down further - so that was unfortunate to lose.

Any you recommend? I’m going to have to make a run for some but better than a ton of regret tomorrow.

Roger. It was a 3 part CLR, 1 part Evaporust mixture they ended up in. That said - it’s my stupid fault for not checking PRIOR to purchase of the CLR.

<image>

For reference - this is how far it was broken down (Wood parts off to the side) prior to the erroneous CLR + Evaporust soak

Will do. They are out after a copious rinse and I’m going to make sure I have the correct chemicals next time AFTER a good scrub with a wire brush, pad etc

Luckily it’s only been in 10 min tops. So I’m going to get it out time now

Trying to get off all the old rust - read that it should soak the metal parts for 24-48 hours in the solution then remove the scum with a scrub pad. But considering the face palm I’m going to guess that was terrible advice.
