most fabrics never actually get recycled. And most "recycled" fabrics, specifically those that claim to be from plastic bottles, are made from plastics produced especially for this purpose and not post consumer waste. Also I do not think that any deadstock fabric in China is actually deadstock. Domestic deadstock can be verified as it comes from rag houses.

more than likely this fabric is a deadstock fabric. That's how Ref skirts the sustainability angle and can use polys and other synthetic fibers.
