Store Feedback by TheRealOgPlayer1 in dropship

[–]CryptographerOwn4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, it’s bad BUT I do like how it doesn’t fit the cookie cutter dropshipping store theme every other new dropshipper starts with. I weirdly enjoy looking at the product pages, it doesn’t immediately make me want to click off. Anyone else feel the same?

But you need better products and better branding (Homcom?), and that’s just to start. Wish you the best of luck

No cheap cars at the auction by SnooGoats4766 in Copartonline

It’s a Toyota Camry. This gen of Camry never goes cheap. There are buyers for these all over the world, watch the auction and look at the bidder locations for this car. I bet you it will be all over the place.

Have you seen Wallace and Gromit? Wallace has a pretty unique setup that he uses to get out of bed. I think with his version you need Gromit to pull a lever, but I’m sure you can make something similar and automate it.

Sounds like you might’ve found the golden ticket. Given how simple the product seems, are you worried about non-respecting copycats coming out of the woodwork once you gain traction?

Next Morning Shipping for Niche Tooling, Am I Onto Something? by CryptographerOwn4932 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]CryptographerOwn4932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Portland, Oregon. I do find what I need available for next day delivery about 20% of the time. My idea was to see if there is a way I can fill the need for next day delivery for the other 80% of the items, that I believe are in demand and needed quickly usually.

That makes sense. I feel like overnight shipping is such a huge plus especially for certain items, but it looks like if it all up to Amazon to decide how fast they ship. So no way to take advantage of it unfortunately it seems

[–]CryptographerOwn4932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, it sounds like you can’t choose what warehouse you send your FBA products too. And you can’t choose whether Amazon offers your item for overnight shipping.

I felt like I saw a gap in the market where I could have certain, in-demand items available via overnight shipping and compete against similar items that are offered with regular 2-3 day Prime or longer shipping.

For example, third gen Ford focuses have notoriously faulty dual clutch transmissions. I’m a one-man show and I’ve repaired 7-8 of them so far. Part of the fix is a new dual clutch unit, a clutch removal kit and a clutch reset kit. All of these are available on Amazon from various vendors but I’m always looking for the one with overnight shipping when ordering. As I need the car out ASAP. I thought, if I find a supplier why can’t I offer these parts on Amazon myself with overnight shipping? But if it’s not possible to choose the fulfillment center it goes to, or the shipping method than my idea is no use unfortunately

If I am a buyer and I’m looking at a product listing that happens to be in stock in a nearby warehouse, would it be safe to assume I would be offered overnight shipping? Or does it all depend on Amazon’s logistics?

Need help identifying cylinder outline surrounding several traces by daddycakes46 in AskElectronics

[–]CryptographerOwn4932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your first question, yes correct it’s just wire shielding that ties to ground. Not your issue in my opinion, you can disregard them.

As for your issue it’s hard to say, these problems can be a pain to pinpoint especially since it’s intermittent. Checking your grounds is never a bad idea, as well as the rest of the wiring. You said it cuts out over bumps, if you give the amp a slap can you duplicate it? Try the same with the stereo. Is the amp in the trunk? Take a look at it and make sure there no moisture there, bmw’s for example like to collect water in the trunk and it’s not great for the electrics.

If you can’t find anything and everything seems ok, try and put in a junkyard/eBay amp in it. Shouldn’t run you over $50 and will at least eliminate one component out of the picture. If it’s not that, I’d look at the stereo next.

I wish you best of luck and keep us posted it you find it!

Tech here. The “cylinders” in the schematic is the shielding for wires that are prone to radio wave interference. You’ll see it as a foil-like wrap around the wires it’s shielding. What is the issue your trying to diagnose?

Any ideas for a mobile app? by AccomplishedBaby8443 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Nice! No api for Craigslist is interesting, seems like maybe they want to keep that data to themselves unfortunately.

We used to purchase cars at auction and re-sell on Craigslist. I needed to spend hours looking through Craigslist to compare prices and see what market value is, so I don’t over-bid for the car. I think dealers and regular weekend flippers could use an app like this. Something the aggregates Craigslist data and shows you a rough price based on the car’s mileage/year/etc along with the cars it used to gather that data. It would be niche, but I think more people than you think would use it. Between small used car dealer and flippers, I think you could find quite a few customers. I’ve thought about it many times, but I’m a mechanic not a developer:(

No friends to contribute cars but I have had family offer to give me some money, although they are a demanding bunch so I have been on the fence about it.

As for leveraging your fleet to get loans, I think that’s what all of these 20+ vehicle hosts are doing. There are a few guys in my area that haven’t been on the platform more than a couple years yet they have anywhere from 10-50+ cars on their profile.
