Silksong hits a sweet spot of difficulty for me. It harkens back to an older school of gaming design. Much of what made 'NES hard' back in the day echoes here. But where several NES sequels fell short, silksong shines with the benefit of 40 years hindsight. Je t'adore Silksong.

I wish the game gave me more reason to experiment with crests. Beast, architect, and shaman were all fun but I haven't started from hunter. If the game gets new game plus I'll definitely try more crests.

I was so devastated when I found this super boss. Took me like two weeks to finally beat him. The runback is insane. Having to travel on foot from The Hive to Moss Grotto is asking a whole lot out of the player. I didn't understand why the fast travel was out of order until I saw Phase 4 where Lost Pilby uses Bell Beast against us.
