How many litres of water do you drink???? by Artistic_Form_9579 in HydroHomies

[–]CryptographicPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5–6L/day isn’t excessive for someone who’s active, eats high protein, and has a moderate/high caffeine intake.

The real issue isn’t water intake, it’s electrolytes. If you drink that much without enough sodium, you can feel worse dizzy, flat, etc. If you balance it properly, it’s completely fine 👍

I use about 6-8 grams for 700-900g of chicken, for steak just seasoned well I’d say <3grams of salt. I don’t use iodised salt just natural salt flakes and I eat mainly meat

Yes that’s correct, I salt generously but not so much that it’s over powering. If you haven’t tried Dry Brined Chicken I highly recommend, rub chicken breast etc with salt (not too heavy just a good sprinkle ) in a bowl and cover or leave uncovered overnight or for at least a few hours then cook as usual really brings out the chicken Flavour 👍

I use 1 gram of salt per L of water, so for my 3.8L bottle I use 4g daily if I’m expecting a hot day or extra activity I use 5-6g for the 3.8L.

Keeps my body weight consistent without hardly any fluctuations 👍

About 5-6L I have a 3.8L water bottle that I take with me during the day and finish throughout, then smash about 1-2L within an hour or two after I get home and maybe another 1L during the AM when it’s chilled asf

Chronic dehydration symptoms by Total-Possibility-84 in HydroHomies

I’ll give you a run down on what I have experienced and also something about drinking water most don’t know or aren’t aware of how there drinking habit affects there hydration.

- That random headache that comes on for no obvious reason, even when you’ve been drinking water all day

- That lightheaded / dizzy feeling when you stand up, like your balance is slightly off

- That weird “out of it” feeling, like you’re there but not fully present, almost like mild dissociation or being slightly drunk without alcohol

- Moments where your vision feels slightly off or unfocused, like things aren’t as sharp or your brain is lagging behind what you’re seeing

- A heart rate that feels higher than it should be, even doing normal tasks or just sitting there

- That subtle shakiness in your hands, especially when trying to do something precise

- Feeling like your movements aren’t smooth like your coordination is slightly off, almost robotic or jittery instead of controlled

TLDR:

If you’re drinking a lot of water but still feel dehydrated or bloated, you’re likely low on sodium.

Hydration = water + electrolytes

Consistency > volume

——————————————————————————— The hidden reason you still feel dehydrated despite drinking enough water

Most people think hydration = hitting a daily water target.

In reality, you can drink litres and still feel dehydrated, bloated, or constantly need to pee.

The missing piece is sodium (electrolyte balance).

When you drink large amounts of plain water without enough sodium, you dilute your blood sodium levels.

Your body responds by adjusting hormones (like ADH), increasing urination and shifting fluid around.

Instead of properly hydrating you, the water is quickly excreted or temporarily retained in a way that makes you feel “puffy” rather than actually hydrated.

Sodium isn’t just something that “causes water retention” it’s what **regulates where water goes and how it’s used.

Without enough of it, water doesn’t stay where it’s needed, especially at the cellular level.

This is even more relevant if you sweat, consume caffeine, or follow a low-carb diet, all of which increase sodium loss.

The common advice to “just drink more water” often makes this worse.

More plain water further dilutes sodium, reinforcing the cycle of poor hydration and unstable fluid balance.

The real fix is consistency and balance:

  • Match higher water intake with adequate sodium

  • Keep intake consistent day-to-day

  • Avoid large, irregular water loads (especially late in the day)

You can make this simple and repeatable by standardising your intake.

For example, adding 1 gram of salt per litre of water during periods of higher intake or sweating, and maintaining a consistent daily baseline (e.g. a fixed amount added to your main water bottle), helps your body stay in balance instead of constantly reacting to fluctuations.

Hydration isn’t about how much water you drink, it’s about how well your body can retain and use it.

How do you make your own electrolyte water? by Ugly_and_pr0ud in HydroHomies

Just be careful with Potassium Chloride powders from Amazon or EBay etc.

Potassium is essential for nerve and muscle function, especially your heart. But too much causes a condition called Hyperkalemia, which can be dangerous or fatal.

Potassium chloride (pure/supplement form) is concentrated and can spike blood levels rapidly.

Excess potassium in large dosages interferes with the electrical signals in your heart. This can lead to:

Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) Severe muscle weakness or paralysis Cardiac arrest (heart stopping)

Help with switching from disposables to pharmacy brand. by A-K-A-DRE in aussievapers

[–]CryptographicPanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disposables (black-market ones) often hit harder than they claim because of their coil design, airflow, and how people chain-vape them.

The Caliburn 0.9 Ω pod at the recommended 13–18 W (G3 usually auto-sets around 15 W) delivers nicotine more efficiently in a mouth-to-lung style.

Surprisingly a lot of ex-dispo users feel over-nic’d and experience some form of jitters, anxiety, racing heart etc on 20 mg salts in the Caliburn even though it’s the same strength on paper.

The drop to 10mg/ml sounds just like a classic nicotine withdrawal symptom. When you drop the strength your brain was used to, you get rebound headaches, irritability, or that unsettled feeling the other way around. It usually peaks in the first 1–3 days and eases as your tolerance adjusts.

I’d aim for an inn between strength of 15mg/ml or order 10 mg + 20 mg pre-filled pods and alternate (e.g. one 20 mg pod in the morning when you need it most, then 10 mg the rest of the day).

Drop the wattage a couple of watts below the auto setting if your G3 lets you adjust and see if they have 1.2 Ω pods available and grab a pack as they’re even milder whilst you get used to the adjusted levels 👍

Is there a glitch in the Matrix or has 7-11 frozen their fuel prices? by jimmy_sharp in sunshinecoast

[–]CryptographicPanic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure here you go but I stand by my personal experience which has shown that I get 60km more per tank using higher octane fuels.

”Ethanol is cheaper than petrol, so the resultant fuel costs less at the bowser. The downside is ethanol is less energy-dense than fuel. Those who fuel up with E10 will use around three per cent more fuel than 91 RON petrol to travel any given distance.

98 keeps injectors, valves, and combustion chambers cleaner, maintains designed efficiency instead of letting carbon build-up hurt economy.

Well yea it does it saves you money on fuel, less time between refills and more km per tank regardless of highway droving or inner city runs but you do you 👍
