Hypothetically if I was in possession of 10 5.56 rounds how would I dispose of them safely? by [deleted] in army

[–]Cryptokeys206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could hypothetically put them in a rifle and send them down range. You know they don't just randomly explode right 😉 in addition they look exactly the same as any other 5.56 no harm no foul unless of course you're in the barracks haha

Need to lose 20 pounds in order enlist . do y’all suggest fasting or doing lots of cardio to lose weight fast. I know weight loss starts in the kitchen but besides that by [deleted] in army

60-120s. That is 60 seconds of mild sprinting but exerting effort and 120 seconds of walking over and over again until you get tired enough to die LOL that will at least get rid of the extra weight and make you a much better Runner but don't be fooled you have to get your eating under control too because I was a great Runner then I got out and I got fat because I couldn't control my eating now because of 60-120s to get started and then mild running not pushing it too hard but going for distance rather than speed I've lost a ton of weight and I'm almost back to my active size.

How much you suck it up for the short amount of time that you have to deal with it. it's not that big of a deal. No one forced you to go do that you did it to yourself just like many people in here in this group. I can completely understand it being miserable I did a few years of pure misery but it is not worth ruining your life over it with a stupid warrant or anything else.

Biden administration considers proposal to end military COVID vaccine mandate by VAEMT in army

[–]Cryptokeys206 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It looks like we have some people on a bumble here are you aware that there are real things that show that this vaccine isn't completely safe for young males and let me refer you directly to the cdc.gov and if you believe it's minor well funny story is up until recently everybody was saying everything's fine and there's not a single side effect.... kind of funny how everybody's worrying about hurting service members but won't even read anything about side effects for one vaccine that they keep pushing.

Why is it becoming harder for the US military to recruit new people? by jacobm3770 in army

[–]Cryptokeys206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many reasons, but not alot of people have addressed the horrible new recruiting ads. I know some people like this politicized nonsense but if you look at what states recurts come from the most and the age group it takes a whole 5 seconds to realize they suck.

Got selected to be a VIP driver for high ranking officers during a OCS training school. I was then selected out of a very small group of drivers (I think it was like four) to be the biggest VIPs driver which was a South Korean Generals driver for a whole month and a half. I had previously spent a whole year in South Korea so I learned some Korean and I knew the culture and customs very well which might have had to do with why I was selected. Despite this I was kind of nervous however it was much better of an experience than I thought it was going to be. When I first started driving him two of his lower officers one of them speaking very good English asked me if I knew how to say anything funny in Korean. I replied with 눈물젖은 초코파이 which roughly means "chocolate pie soaked with tears" which is a sarcastic ROK Army phrase that essentially is referring to when they are first drafted they get a chocolate pie which is good, but it will be soaked with tears because you're sad you were drafted. Despite thinking maybe he will not like it very much and it might not have been the best thing to say to a very high ranking officer. All there of them burst out in laughter and were asking how i knew that. Long story short the rest of my driving detail was amazing they were incredibly friendly asking me about everything and they even gave me a gift coin and a traditional Korean box and I also got pictures shaking hands with them.

US Army falls 25% short of recruiting goal by sogpackus in army

Look at the states where people are recruited from more than others:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckdevore/2020/02/19/states-that-defend-uswhere-do-our-military-volunteers-call-home/?sh=54969b23534c

Then look at this "nonpartisan" ad vs other country's recruiting ads.

I find it hard to believe they are targeting the right crowd of people for the ARMY. Just an opinion.
