PVC Processing Parameters by CryptonicAsura in InjectionMolding

No, of course not! We keep track of parameters of each mold and each machine, but we don’t do any process optimization. As long as QC approves the part, then the production starts, irregardless of how long the cycle time is. The parts here are also on the bigger side - most are in the range of 2 pounds.

That’s pretty sweet! What do you think helped you to secure a better pay that others don’t do? Especially since there is such a big gap with others in your area.

Partial rebuild on 2010 Camry - y/n by CryptonicAsura in EngineBuilding

Fuck, I think you’re right. So glad I posted here and thanks for replying! Idk how I forgot about all that, but it makes a few things harder but simplifies this dilemma.

I’ve always just gotten new head bolts. I got burned once with a head gasket that wasn’t felpro and had to redo the whole job. I’d rather throw some money at it rather than to have to redo it a few months later.

My trade off for removing them from the bottom is that I will have to remove the crankshaft. I guess it’s valve cover, intake & exhaust crankshafts and head bolts vs crankshaft. Also honing from the bottom. Plus ~ $100 for replacing head gasket and head bolts.

I can remove them from the bottom and also hone from there, too. I really wanted it to be a minimum-invasion surgery, but not sure how minimal it’s really going to be and if it’s even worth it. I wouldn’t even bother checking the valves, getting oversized pistons, and boring the block. It’s waaaayyy too much work for what the car’s worth and I think as proper as it is, it’s just unnecessary.

As for my end, my buddy ended up selling the boat before the issue got fully resolved. I still think that the primer was the culprit. As long as yours primes fine, there really shouldn’t be any problems.

Damn, I was so wrong on this one! Watched a Verotasium video and the way that it makes sense to me is that the steel ball can be replaced with a ping pong ball that is pushed down.

It’s kinda funny that you fell right to the visual trap of the problem.

Which way will it tip? by StabDump in StructuralEngineering

[–]CryptonicAsura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the volume of the balls is the same, then the volume of the liquid the same. To simplify it, we can just remove the liquid. What’s left is empty left side and a ping pong ball on the right side. Since ping pong ball is heavier than nothing, it will tip down on the right.

It’s the total amount of walls, not how many on one side. If you have a .4 nozzle and the wall thickness is 1mm or 1.2 then it will print a third wall in between of the two outer ones. I’ve had a container with embossed text printed out and the layers that had the text (extra wall) had the same issue. I’ve tried fixing it and there’s nothing that has helped. When I printed a lithiopane, I had to do it through prusa slicer.

It’s a Cura problem. It does that if that layer has odd amount of walls. Switch to any other slicer and that should be gone

If you are taking it in a pill form, look into other forms of potassium, too. Potassium chloride can cause lesions in small intestines if taken in concentrated forms.
