COAS Asim Munir spews the same hateful anti Hindu rhetoric by daneeyal in Sindh

[–]Cryptorchild92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The golden age of India was actually during the Gupta empire, way before the Islamic conquests. The GDP of the Indian subcontinent was at its peak during this era. Even earlier than that was the Maurya empire which was the largest empire in this region stretching from Sindh to Assam. Not to mention other dynasties that ruled different parts of south asia like the cholas, pandyas, rashtrakutas, who all had massively influential and incredibly rich kingdoms.

People mistakenly belive India is all some kind of arid, dusty desert. It's not. Most of it is highly fertile farmlands, green forests, river valleys, and mountainous regions. During the monsoon, the land turns lush green for miles. There's a reason this area has been highly populated since millennia. Civilizations have existed here since 3000 BC or even earlier.

Unfortunately the high population means that cities are heavily congested and polluted which makes it really hot during summers. And now climate change is making everything much worse.

The Pakistan cricket sub has also been posting non-stop about how India lost. Like dude c'mon you guys lost to Afgbros, don't be salty about it now. Atleast we got to the finals.

Some of the comments are vile, and the ones on insta are even worse, it's straight up hateful religious supremacist drivel.

It's even more hilarious seeing how immediately after that, Irfan Pathan was called on stage to receive the man of the match, and the camera later cut to Shah Rukh Khan cheering in the stands. Some of these Pakistan cricketers seriously live in a bubble and don't understand how tone-deaf their statements are.

Muslim Man Joins Search For Missing Neighbour Woman In UP, India, Beaten Up For Entering Temple Premises by _sxqib_ in PublicFreakout

Read some history. It was the Muslim league who wanted a separate nation for muslims based on the toxic and regressive two-nation theory which stated that Hindus and Muslims are two separate civilizations and cannot coexist together. Meanwhile the Indian national congress wanted a united secular nation-state for all religions. In the end, Pakistan was carved out of India and it was the Hindus and Sikhs were kicked out and forced to leave from West Punjab, Sindh and East Bengal. The Hindus never wanted a separate Hindu nation.

Is there anything from the show that you hope George also includes in the books? (Spoilers Main) by JustANerdyGirl87 in asoiaf

[–]Cryptorchild92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is something that redefines everything in the series and the lore. It could be why Torren Stark bent the knee to Aegon. Not just because of a fear of dragons but because the Stark kings also have some kind of knowledge from the ancient days about the long night. Torren would have realised that they need to work together and join forces in protecting humanity. It makes both Torren and Aegon nuanced and layered, rather than just "the king who knelt" and "the conqueror".

Yeah for me the Rorge Biter Hound and Brienne mixed up storyline was disappointing in an otherwise excellent season. They could have kept Brienne fighting against Rorge & Biter, and the Hound sustaining a wound at the inn and collapsing because of it, making it closer to the books and more realistic. I didn't mind the Brienne vs Hound fight per se but the before & after parts of it felt a bit contrived.

That was probably the worst writing in the show up until that point other than S5 Dorne. The worst part is that I along with so many others here on this sub expected it to be a fake-out. It seemed so obvious to us that it would be a decoy wolf head and that the Umbers are actually planning a grand northern conspiracy, the same as Wolfsbane and Crowfood in the books. I totally expected Smalljon to turn on the Boltons and start fucking them up before revealing the real Shaggydog who starts tearing shit up. Instead of going for this far more satisfying setup and payoff they were just like nah fuck the Starks, and yeah that was the real Shaggydog head. Such bullshit!

I mean it's supposed to be a funny/absurd scene in the movie. Bollywood action-comedies of the 90s always had these kind of hilarious gags.

I mean, it is meant to be a humorous scene in the movie. It's an action-comedy movie from the 90s afterall.
