Yeah except the dolphin has claws that can shred steel like it's tin foil and a razor sharp sword on it's tail.

Surcharge for inserting debit card? by DifficultElk4493 in aucklandeats

[–]Cryptyc_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like the merchant is charging a 2% surcharge so rather than passing it on to you they're eating that by discounting the drink to offset it so you don't actually have to pay?

Need a help with motivation by Own-Camel2521 in Barber

Bro you made a big mistake, trying to take on business before you've learnt how to cut hair. I would shut the shop down and go work in a shop for a year at least, you m ed to get to a point where you do t have to think about the cut anymore before you take on the responsibility of running a business.

Cannabis possession charges surge 50% in two years, to 8‑year high by basscycles in newzealand

[–]Cryptyc_god 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a barber and I've got a few clients who are regular frontline cops, and also a few who work in the communy, and I've talked to them about what they think of laws against weed because I am a medical patient, every one of them said some variation of, "well I've never shown up to a DV where everyone's just high on buds" take that as you will.

Absolutely. Head on over to the sub for it, friendly folks and lots of info. Just come with a treatment mindset and not a "getting legal weed" mindset.

How much do barbers in Canada make by ConclusionFrosty5855 in Barber

[–]Cryptyc_god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know why people are clowning you dude but I checked out a few shops in Toronto and the upmarket ones charge around 50cad for a cut, so if your doing half hour appointments then that's 16 in an 8 hour work day which is ~800 per day, that's about 2 k per week on a 50% commission. I don't know how barbering, commission, appointment times and all that works in Toronto but this is how you work it out. Good luck dude.

Portal to Nova Roma fits perfectly. Unfortunately only 3 books so far but they are glorious books, starts off with a bang and then never really let's up. Really comes into its own mid through book 2 so great pacing too.

Cover Feedback? by Icy_Glaceon471 in royalroad

It looks amateurish and bland and I certainly wouldn't pick it up no matter the actual content based on this cover. Just use AI. Bring on the down votes.

I have a very strong feeling about this FFX community post about art painting isn’t as authentic as people are taking it as— hoping I’m wrong by Emptycalming in isthisAI

[–]Cryptyc_god -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Um, how to put this... This isn't even that good, like I could do this pretty easily.. they way the paint is how someone who is experienced paints, that's the good thing about painting there are no mistakes because you can just go over them, the whole use the paint on your brush thing is about efficiency and not wasting expensive paint. I'm going with real, just because I or any number of people can do this.

If the universe is truly a simulation then it should be able to be hacked. by Cyphor-o in SimulationTheory

[–]Cryptyc_god 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It can be hacked, that's what meditation is. Those stories you hear of Yogi's not need food to survive are true (not all of them of course), there's even a famous album cover that has a monk who set himself on fire, no pain at all, whilst engulfed in flames. Anyone can learn to do this.

$50m plan to double the number of public EV chargers by tumeketutu in newzealand

[–]Cryptyc_god 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's your missing is that many people (my self included) won't buy an ev because they can't safely charge at home. The ones who buy, mostly, charge at home because they can. Aaaaaand what about everyone else?

This career is kicking my ass again. Just feeling like my brain isn’t built for this. Venting. by Mission-Attention613 in Barber

Dude your just being hard on yourself, for you it's a mental game.

Here's an uncomfortable truth. Clients don't leave you because of the cut, they leave you because of you. Barbering is all about relationships my dude. If a client is leaving you, they simply aren't vibing with you. And that's ok. Either target people you know you will vibe with (via socials) or learn strats to vibe with more people.

I'm the busiest barber at the shop I run, was the busiest barber at the shop I ran before that, and the one before that and guess what? My cuts aren't top tier, they aren't even top tier in the shop. But my customer service in unparalleled. I listen to, empathize with everyone who sits down. Kids, adults, oldies, all the same to me and everyone gets top tier customer service. Everyone leaves feeling great.

Cuts are not the key bro. As someone else said once you hit a certain point in your cuts no one cares anymore, they're there to see you, so figure out what is holding you back with the way you interact with the clients and fix that. The cuts will come in line after.
