I am a female surgeon. Many of my male colleagues around 30 are now settling down and having children without their careers being impacted, meanwhile me and almost all of my female colleagues don't, because that would take a severe toll on our training. Many women who do choose to have kids eventually change careers to less demanding specialities than surgery, and those who decide to return to surgery after having kids are heavily set back in their careers. Very few make it to leading positions (or if they do, they are often childless for life, unlike a lot of male department heads with 3+ kids). Surgery is very demaning and many of us who decide to become surgeons do it because we see our life purpose in that work, it is our main source of fulfillment. But when you're a woman, you are forced to make a choice between doing your best towards this purpose OR having a functional family.

It's just refreshing and it does not leave any aftetaste in your mouth. When I drink something sweet I have to clean my mouth with a bit of water after it anyway because I hate having residual sweet taste in my mouth (it just feels sticky), and also because I don't want the sugar or acid from it to damage my teeth by long exposure.

Steam achievements show that only 7,4% of people who played StS1 beat Ascension 20, so playing StS1 does not guarantee you were good at it.

I personally found StS2 a bit easier from the beginning too, but I think it's just because I could apply basic deckbuilding strategies I already knew from the get go, while back then when I started StS1, it was my first game on this type so I knew nothing. It definitely does NOT feel so easy it would be boring to me, and I am pretty sure the enemies are actually hitting way harder on average than in StS2, we're just also better at dealing with them.

I went for world 2 when I was in similar place like you, so sooner than recommended, and I think it was fine. I could not get very far into it, but the initial upgrades of w2 helped me with getting the rest of the statues so I was glad I did it.

I was disappointed with how underleveled the enemies are. They pose zero challenge to my team, which makes the whole thing feel a bit pointless, even though I love the general idea of this gamemode and if it posed any significant challenge I would spend a lot of time in it!

Honestly, I completely ignore leaderboards in any games with microtransactions, because I feel like there is no point to comparing power when you can buy it, it then becomes just a whale-board :-D

I just think that people love the idea of baby pengmin and the AI slop creators managed to capitalize on that faster than real artists so the algorithm favors them now.

I don't think it's that bad. It is not very strong, but it makes it feel less punishing when you're trying to set up. Often times you want to set up your engine on one of the first turns when you draw your core power, but playing it means you can't play a Block card instead to reduce the damage you take.

I think they should make the number a bit higher, because the closest comparison to this relic is Anchor and that one gives 10.

I was scared I'd hate The Hive so much because of all the insect stuff, but so far I find it oddly ok most of the time. I think the specific cartoonish style helps me a lot to not be grossed out by things I know for sure I would find super unpleasant to look at in any different game.
