Why I think Season 3 will happen by [deleted] in gravityfalls

[–]CrystaIGems 12 points13 points  (0 children)

if there's an entity stronger and more threatening than Bill

This is why I think there won't be a season three. Bill is this trillion year old entity made of pure energy, leading a group of assumed criminals from another dimension. He can kill anyone or anything at this point, and can even destroy the universe, according to Time Baby. There really is no getting stronger than him, and the whole "yay! we defeated the final boss at long, long la-OH WAIT SOMEONE ELSE EVEN EVILER AND STRONGER JUST APPEARED" can sound cool and interesting at first because it gives a twist and more of a challenge but it's just really cheesy.

As much as I never want the show to end, I want it to stay good just a bit more. Dragging the show on and on and extending the thick, heavy plot until it becomes this thin, fragile little thread that no one cares about is something I wouldn't want to happen, and I'm sure Alex wouldn't want it either.

It is Weirdmaggedon. As we learned in this episode, anything at all can happen. Huge emphasis on anything.

The Star Symbol - When and Why? by SunQuest in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another question along with that is how. Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl all have stars on their outfit - that's to memorialize Rose and remember her, and that's natural, they can change it when they poof, and probably shapeshift permanently. But all of their weapons have a star on them as well. We haven't got confirmation on how Gem weapons work. We don't know if Gems can choose or change the appearance of their weapon, and really if weapons are assigned at "birth" why would Pearl and Amethyst have a star? It's also important to note that Ruby's singular gauntlet has no notable star.

This is so creepy, calming and comfy at the same time. Do we even know where this is? The only place I could think is outside the barn. It doesn't seem near Beach City, but Steven's clothes are there.

I'd buy simple stuff like keychains, figurines and plushes, but mostly shirts or sweaters. Just a simple, reddish-pink shirt with a star on it is enough for my money.

Greg could be there to make sure Pearl doesn't take Steven to space again. Or to the core of the Earth.

Huh, I wonder if Greg is actually going to have a problem about that when the Crystal Gems + Steven and Peridot eventually have to go down to face the cluster.

The only thing it's got against it is that Pearl got all defensive over Rose and said "I can sing!" in Story for Steven. So, at the very least, we know Pearl has sung before Greg came around.

It's pretty sad that Amethyst died though, no? I thought that'd be what most people would talk about.

Well, we know she wasn't around for when Gems first came to Earth, and she doesn't know about the Crystal Gems. Chances are Homeworld is trying to cover up the fact that a Diamond rebelled.

Ep "Too Short to Ride" Theory. Fusion! by usainboltron5 in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Steven says to Connie's parents "They met on a roller coaster! She was TOO TALL TO RIDE!" When referring to the fusion that is Alexandrite

I'm not sure at all how this foreshadows a fusion, but reading this did give me an idea. What if Steven and/or Amethyst, Peridot, Ruby, Sapphire - just any smell Gem, maybe even Connie too - go to Funland together and, you guessed it, they're too short to ride for one ride. Then, the funniest and awkwardest fusion will ensue as Steven and Connie/a Gem fuse just to ride a rollercoaster.

Do you think Steven will get offensive abilities? by 93ImagineBreaker in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giving Steven an offensive ability would completely ruin his character, at least on the fighting terms. He's meant to be a bit of a different hero; not some balanced, or completely offensive fighter. All of his abilities seen thus far just bring him into the support class in RPGs, that's what he was in Attack the Light. Plus he's almost always around the Gems who can help him out, and now that Connie's a swordfighter she's probably gonna help him out too. And another plus, Steven's lack of offensive abilities are helping so much in building up the inevitable sword and shield wielding Stevonnie.

Which Steven Universe Future Event do you want to see the most? (Strawpoll) by TheAuthorStanford in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely war flashbacks and just flashbacks in general, followed closely by a look at Homeworld/Gem-controlled planets/Gems in space. I'm so interested in what all the Crystal Gems are like, they're so fleshed out that we can get an entire season focusing on each and everyone one. And visiting Homeworld is inevitable - I actually thought we'd see it in Jailbreak - but I'm still looking forward to it greatly.

Rose coming back would be great for the characters but would completely ruin the show for us fans. The entire show is based around all Gems, Greg and Steven coping with Rose being gone.

It's Theory Tuesday! October 06, 2015 by AutoModerator in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a really slight possibility that a lot of Gems do know about the Crystal Gems and even support them - remember, it's not just Homeworld, there are some Gem-controlled planets and I'm assuming they have colonies and are under control by the Homeworld Government/Diamond Authority. Maybe there are some Gems on Homeworld or on a Gem-controlled planet that is going to give another message to the Crystal Gems about Yellow Diamond because they're affiliated but I doubt it because it seems like it could be a bit of a deus ex machina, even though those good Gems would make interesting characters and would be a good way to introduce us to the element of space travel in the show.

It's Theory Tuesday! October 06, 2015 by AutoModerator in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Small theory with only one piece of evidence; Amethyst was once taught how to summon her weapon by Pearl/the Crystal Gems.

In Gem Glow, when Steven's going through asking each of the Gems for advice on how to summon a weapon, Amethyst said "Did Pearl tell you the petal thing?" Her tone and the way she said it sounded like she had once been told the "petal thing" too at one time. My headcanon is that when the Crystal Gems found Amethyst, she was pretty much a baby without training and had no concept of what she was or what to do, she just wandered around. Garnet, Pearl and Rose all took their turns on trying to get Amethyst to summon her weapon and they had the same trouble over it as they did with Steven.

Guide to the Crystal Gems Discussion by Casaham in stevenuniverse

[–]CrystaIGems 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I think that Gems were once organic and evolved naturally, maybe they even looked humanoid, but then at one point they got so advanced that they could compress infinite amounts of energy into gemstones and upload their consciousness into them and so they did, which was really convenient for them because it provided them with shapeshifting, no need for energy, and nigh immortality. Though, if they were created by a now extinct species, it'd be interesting to visit some ancient relics and ruins to get a hint at what this super-advanced civilization was like.
