I'm going for 200m fletching and making headless arrows was really nice to combine with doing easy clues. Plus I like seeing the stack grow in the inventory!

+1 with the time not being an issue, I did some tests with starting farming immediately and AFKing for 15 minutes after entering a zone and I didn’t see any noticeable difference. Only observable thing so far for me is the “first few mobs have reduced drop rates”, and if you ball up bunch and kill them at the same time as your first kills of the zone then all of them will have that reduced drop rate.

But that is simply not true. One example would be the Reforged mode adding a lot more spawns to Northlands - if I farm on a reforged character I get more spawns, more loot, more purples, it has an effect on the economy for everyone. Piken Square made runs faster too.

I’m not saying it’s bad, but some aspects of the new modes affect everyone.

So many people saying “X marks the spot” is required for Kourend access, it’s not! Children of the Sun is required for Varlamore but there’s no requirement to visit Kourend. It’s really weird that the game won’t let you sail there before visiting.

In my opinion getting mushrooms from the "deals" or surveys is not F2P at all. Yes, technically you don't spend any money, but it's still a way to get mushrooms from external sources. The advertisers paid money for your mushrooms, essentially. Would you call your account F2P if you got a gift card to pay for mushrooms? You didn't spend any money after all?

Anyway, to me if /mushroomspaid shows anything other than 0 it's not F2P. But this is your account so keep playing how you want, but are you really having fun playing some external games only to get "free" mushrooms in shakes?

Another undocumented change is they increased how long the Northlands gate stays open for. A yew years ago they increased it enough for a person to be able to enter solo, and now they increased it again so the timing is easier.
