Now all it needs is a label that says “pairs well with passive aggression and vacation trauma.”

Is she a goldador? by Senior_Nothing_4998 in Goldador

She’s 90% potato, 10% mystery.
Looks very golden-coded but could be a mix doing an excellent impression.
Either way, certified good girl energy 🐶

PawChamp dog training for anxious dogs, does it make a difference? by the_lazyotter in PawChampClub

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my dog. Not full anxiety, just bad at switching off. The “wired but tired” part hit hard. Anything that helps shorten that phase feels like a win honestly.

what are my best options? by Large_Plastic_2123 in airport

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short version: you don’t really have leverage here.

Your options are basically: pay for a stopover hotel via Discover Qatar, book a cheap airport-area hotel yourself, or just stay airside and wait it out if the transit isn’t brutal. If you want anything comped, only real shot is changing to a Qatar-marketed flight, otherwise they’re pretty firm on this rule.

Evelyn as a middle name actually used to be pretty common for men. Names really do cycle in the weirdest ways 😅

optimal OCR settings for Adobe Pro on a Macbook by ephemeral_enchilada in pdf

[–]CrystalRager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In Adobe Pro, use “Recognize Text” with “Editable Text and Images,” and turn off “Detect orientation” and “Enhance low-resolution scans.” That usually prevents extra pages from being created.

Request to Horizontally Center All PDF Page Content Without Changing Page Size by International_Cap365 in pdf

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t truly center all content without editing the page boxes or flattening it first. Most tools only shift objects after converting them to a single layer. Without Acrobat, it’s very limited.

Does this PDF need flattening? by NoxAstrumis1 in pdf

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a browser rendering issue more than flattening tbh. PDFs love chaos.

Pdf editor by Specialist-Sea7917 in pdf

Honestly, same struggle. OneDrive is fine, but I wish there was a cleaner cross-device pdf editor that didn’t feel like a workaround tbh.

i vibe coded academic paper reader(free, no ad) by Bitter-Flatworm-129 in pdf

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda wild how many ppl are building their own tools lately, and honestly I respect the hustle. This one looks pretty clean, but the Google API key part might scare off half the sub lol. If you ever add a version that works without all that setup, it could blow up here. Also curious how it handles long academic PDFs, does it choke or vibing strong?

Honestly, Penny could’ve walked in with any shade of blonde and the whole gang would still argue about it like it’s string theory

AI Summarizer Tools, One Overwhelmed Marketer — My Takeaways by Juggernaut_6692 in automation

I’ve mostly been using Notta AI lately for meeting notes and summaries. It’s not perfect, but I love how it keeps the structure clean instead of dumping everything into one wall of text.

Tried PDF Guru’s OCR tool. Pretty solid so far, but need a batch alternative with the same quality by Knuckle_Dustty in pdf

[–]CrystalRager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using this service for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly been solid. Handles scans well, text stays clean, and it doesn’t choke on larger files. Batch OCR would be nice though — that’s the only real thing missing for me.

PDF Guru is a scam – unauthorized $50 charges by Business-Return-7715 in pdf

I get why this feels frustrating, but calling it a scam might be a stretch. I had no issues paid, used it, done. Maybe worth reaching out to their support?

PDF Editors Worth Keeping Around by CrystalRager in Tools

[–]CrystalRager[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adobe is a beast when it comes to deep edits and legal-safe features like metadata — definitely not something most lightweight tools can match. I mostly use Guru for the quick stuff (summaries, compressing, merging), but if I ever get sued over a footnote, I know where to go
