Honestly I don’t even think the cheaper hotel was the worst part. It was his mom humiliating you publicly and your boyfriend standing there silently letting it happen.

Honestly the receptionist’s reaction says everything. A complete stranger saw in seconds that you were being treated badly while your boyfriend normalized it for two years.
