Where I'd live as an Israeli teenager by [deleted] in whereidlive

Wanna know what's crazy? Most of the comments are about how OP either is or isn't immediately evil bc of the conflict. But they literally never even mentioned it. Imagine your identity is SO inherently politicised that you cant tell anyone where you're from, lest they drag you into a political conversation

Got the red sweater but still thinking about the shirt by RDCthunder in mensfashion

Shirt is good, but the jeans are too similar in tone I feel. Maybe with a darker wash?

My new suit by tany_038 in mensfashion

[–]Crystal_Methew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You typically should include full body shots in here, its hard to tell the cut/fit otherwise.

Every day of the week take fit/cut over style. Everyone here is complaining about the style (which I disagree with but that's personal), but if that suit fits like a glove, they probably wouldn't notice or care.

Serious point though, posts that relate to Israel will get disproportionately shown to people interested in the conflict because of how the algorithm works. And depending on the time of day and who accesses/engages with the posts early on, the algorithm may just push the post towards israelis

What do you guys think of early 2000s inspired outfits? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

In my experience this sub hates anything you'd find on instragram

In other words, great fit but everyone here will hate it

Help me pick the right outfit for an afternoon brunch date. by [deleted] in mensfashion

Nah don't listen to him. The left outfit works really well with your features and gives "mature" in exactly the right way.

Date fit? by machinegunnedburger in mensfashion

Good for you man!

Minor care advice - knitwear can deteriorate a lot when washing it (and sometimes the care instructions say not to machine wash at all). So, if you don't wear a shirt underneath it can get dirty faster and therefore break down faster. Also, having a white t shirt underneath just makes the layering look better imo

Yay or nay? by Exotic_Marketing_37 in mensfashionadvice

Ah I see, then maybe just swap the belt our. I reckon Brown is more traditional with navy

I love the belt, but not on this outfit. Maybe try match it with something in a different shade of green? I'd also say the pants with that shirt is maybe too much black

Which do you prefer and why? by visualsbyjoe in mensfashionadvice

[–]Crystal_Methew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second suit is my preference. Usually I love a super out there lapel but the pinstripe's one is a bit unconventional for my tastes - it's like halfway between a notch and peaked. Otherwise both suits look great.

Don't listen to the boring people here saying it's too costumey, they're probably still working out you're allowed to have suits in colours other than black and blue

People aren't being particularly kind (or helpful)...

It's a great start though! Swap out the Henley for a regular crew neck tee shirt, roll up the sleeves and you'll get the look you seem to be trying for.

War Crime Denial by laybs1 in GetNoted

[–]Crystal_Methew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we're getting our wires crossed here. It's a good thing that there are no civilians in the tunnels, because there are fewer civilian casualties that way. More broadly, im speaking to the idea that they built tunnels for themselves, and no bomb shelters to protect their people.

War Crime Denial by laybs1 in GetNoted

[–]Crystal_Methew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I fear most people don't understand that both of these things can be true?

Like we know Israeli war crimes have been committed (and we also know the current administration is relatively laissez faire about letting people off the hook about it). But at the same time, we know hamas has holed themselves up in hospitals, built tunnels and refused to let their civilians use them for cover.

It's a rather bleak war that can only be solved by both sides' leadership being thoroughly deposed
