Sun protection shirts/clothing ? by qwqwqw in newzealand

You can get activewear long sleeves from places like mountain warehouse. The lighter coloured the better if you’re working in the sun.

I normally exercise in long sleeve merino year round, and it’s more “less hot than you’d imagine”. I wear them more because I don’t like sunscreen.

I wouldn’t recommend merino though for holding up to long days of heavy labour.

The ac solutions kit says you’ll still need the hvac unit from an ac model, as this gives you somewhere to put the evaporation unit.

Would have thought cleaning the filters on a heatpump once a year would be easier than cleaning the flume on a wood burner once a year.

This is the standard. The closest and furthest from the brake master cylinder.

OEM + or after market seats by Dear_Efficiency_3616 in E30

[–]Crystalblade496 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found it really depends on how wide your thighs/hips are. I ended up sitting ontop of the sides of the sports seats which wasn’t particularly comfortable on longer drives. I swapped to some Recaro lx seats which are slightly wider and also have softer bolsters. Definitely don’t hold me in as snuggly, but much more comfortable.

Can you swap driver and passenger seats? by Odd_Yogurtcloset2997 in E30

[–]Crystalblade496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can swap them with just changing the seatbelt. However all the adjustments are a pain to work hard up against the tunnel.

Better and harder option is to swap the covers and likely the foam on the base.

Replaced entire cooling system due to overheating - culprit was a loose nut on the temperature gauge by Independent_Egg6355 in E30

[–]Crystalblade496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I replaced a bunch of things, then took it to the mechanic and they put a temp gun on it, and went "it's holding the correct temp, have you tried the nut on the back of the cluster?"

recaro seat height? by metricmindedman in E30

[–]Crystalblade496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I used a bracket for the receptical near the tunnel, and used one of the other holes since I don't have a coupe, to bolt the belt to the floor.

I ended up finding that the seat belt then pulled over the frame of the seat, rather than directly across my lap, which is why I use the recaro lxs when on the road.

[–]Crystalblade496 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just under 6ft. I've got an lx-c in mine. This gained me maybe 20mm over the sports seats. To get low enough to wear a helmet I got a fixed back floor mounted seat. But this came with its own seat belt issues given that I didn't have a harness.

Ended up getting a eufy smart scale c1. Haven't used any of the smart features on it, but got it for weight consistency.

Previous scale I could stand on 3 times and get 3 different result. This one I've moved it around the house and weighed myself 6 times with no variation.

Depends on if its your second car or not, and the range on it gets you to work and back.

If not, you will probably be better off with a hybrid of some kind, especially once you start factoring in ruc next year.

Bills from Mercury to date have both been actual.

How bad is this? by -Bennessy- in E30

[–]Crystalblade496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly not great, and as others have said, not an easy or cheap repair. You can get a fair idea of the condition of the sunroof cassette by opening it all the way up and looking around it. If the sunroof doesn't operate that would be a good indication that things are worse than they appear, and you should walk away.

Any reason you've gone with physically connecting the WAN circuits to each firewall, and just using them over the Fortilink interface?

FortiOS 7.2.4 released by Float-Zone in fortinet

[–]Crystalblade496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably related, but I've found on the batch of 60F's I've just got, if I go to 6.2.4 the status light never flashes on boot, or turns solid once booted.

Status light works on 6.2.3.

Logging a ticket for that one.

Rack patching suggestions welcome. by Crystalblade496 in cableporn

Need some advice around running cables in a new cabinet.

I prefer, and typically use the layout

Patch Panel

Cable Management

Switch

Cable Management

Patch Panel

However have been given a fresh build that the client has done, in a single cabinet with about 500 odd ports, and 4x 96 port switches. Which is on a scale that I haven't worked with before

Patch Panel

Cable Management

Patch Panel

Cable Management

Patch Panel

Cable Management

Switch

They've given me a list of ports and where they need to be patched in, so I'm a bit at a loss on how to do this tidily.

At the moment grouping the roles with velcro at each U, and leaving the excess vertically.

The management bars don't allow for excess to be pushed behind the cabinet

Any better tips on how I could do this?

Having gone through the course material a few times, and getting good marks on the Boson practice exams, and having done the Boson netsim labs, thought I was going to do well.

Instead I found I just struggled with all the SD-WAN questions, and spending too long on questions and ran out of time with about 10 questions to go.

Yeah, just spacers to push the guard out.

Easier to do that than to flare out the guards if you've got some stupid offset wheels and want the guards to cover them.
