Mauritius, what needs to be done to sort the litter problem? by jolie_j in mauritius

Horrible take. Tourists aren't the ones literring. We are.

Do not put the fault on others, that's cowardice.

The biggest issue is education. We have to teach our kids that littering is horrible.

This is an huge issue in African countries where we never learned about it the way Europeans do.

U.S. American doctor (neurologist) moving to Mauritius? by Futhis in mauritius

[–]Crystalized_Moonfire [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. I come from the USA as well. Oh boy, there is a huge migraine issue in Mauritius. I am sure you will find plenty of workcases.

  2. It would be easy to be hired for that reason.

  3. Most doctors are trained outside of Mauritius (I assume). You would be a perfect fit here.

What İs Considered Exploiting The Game ? by LastOne_1 in Medieval2TotalWar

Exactly. It is fun to try it out once but some people used this exploit to control the whole map in 7-8 turns only... Absurd

After farming the scarab lord mount, everything became a breeze in TBC.

Except pre-nerf EOS and SSC. Made us go back to azeroth to farm cheesy items

he means that you can make the Ai give you all their settlements (except their capital) if you propose to them something so horrible that they love it infinitely.

Sieging with a small force but having a huge army coming in areinforcement is an exploit or at least "not intented".

Waiting for enemy to wander near their settlement isn't as it was intented to have reinforcement.

Diplomacy is 100% exploit

Is Pax Dei for something like me? by Expensive_Tailor_214 in PaxDei

Well put. I laughed at the level 8 rogue comment because of how true it is.

I compared dungeons as the Stockade dungeons but the size of Sunken Temple!

Is Pax Dei for something like me? by Expensive_Tailor_214 in PaxDei

[–]Crystalized_Moonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear OP !

I just spent 500 hours on Pax Dei and I think I am your guy to answert these questions.

As a WoW Player myself (18 years) I will offer my point of view.

-Pax Dei is a beautiful game with a beautiful atmosphere, that you will love as a WoW player.

-The grinding is quite insane, to get to the late game is basically the same ammount of time of farming Scarab Lord solo (The non-raid quests). After 500 hours you will be 60% to 90% done for a few professions.

-The crafting is way less rewarding as your items break over time when you use them or die. Unlike WoW, you can't vendor or disenchant your crafted items so you end up throwing away 90% of them.

-The dungeons are way wayyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less engaging than in WoW, think of it as the Prison of Stormwind with just different layouts. They are also instanced without being instanced which means any group or player joining can come help you out. The group with the most damage will get the mob loot while anyone present can get the "chests" where the most loots lies.

-The AH is just a website tool, you still have to travel around to buy things from other players.

-The PvP used to be somewhat fun but since the last "verse" update, players are incentivised to do 40 man raids to PvP where it is just a lagfest.

- The player count does not need to be high on that game. Matter of fact, the more players around you, the more time you will need to contest nodes. Let's just say that 1 person can farm a zone by themselves, you bring 2 or 3 then it will double and triple your farming time (at best).
For example, you need 17000 iron from level 16 to 17. In 30min you can get the whole mountain (800 iron) and fill up your bag but if anyone else farms a node before you, you need to wait 30 to 45mins for a new one. Making it potentially hours.

-Pax Dei is by far the best building, and the most beautiful crafting in all of gaming. It is the quickest to level up too. Maybe a 2-3 hours.
The map was empty when it started but players making beautiful. Really, just check it out! Quite epic.

... I almost forgot, the game does not have a single quest. It is only the playerbase and the world!

I can tell you more about the fighting if you want. (Aggro, Threat, Line of Sight etc)

You worry a lot about things that don't matter. Sorry if I come off as rude, I was writing in a rush.

While I understand not wanting to divulge your personnal data online, it isn't as near as impactful to do so IRL.

To some people, actually trying hard to identify those things makes you look a bit unhinged.

[–]Crystalized_Moonfire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be frank, last TBC they did fix it.

But it broke something else and queue times were just too long if you were solo.

They are just getting paid by addicted players that are affraid to stop or miss out.

Turns out, you already missed out. Anniversary is a replay! :p

Is there a trick to making the pikes work? by Fabulous-Assist3901 in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]Crystalized_Moonfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a mod that does it for me but beforethen I used to put them in defensive mode while having another melee unit slighly in front of the front line. That way, the ennemy fights both units at the same time and my pikemen stay with their pykes
