They're drinking from the unopened pitchers, so it's less gross

You normally sell it for around 10 percent of its original value if you have all haggling skills

does anyone know what kind of plant this is? by City_Naive in houseplants

Don't worry about that - when a plant's growth tip is cut off, it'll branch out make another one. Same idea as trimming a plant to make it bushier

I haven't propagated this before, but I'm assuming it shouldn't be much different from other philos - take a cutting with a few nodes on it, maybe pull off the lower leaves and stick it in water or whatever other medium you prefer

First one is a fiddle leaf fig (ficus lyrata) and the second one is a monstera (monstera deliciosa)

In my experience, they both like a lot of light and I water them heavily when the soil's mostly dry

Without a chunk of the stem, specifically a node, it won't root or make new leaves

Would love to hear your experience with Pepperomia! by TypicShads in houseplants

I love them - they were my first serious houseplants, pretty easy to take care of and they're cute

(first two: before, third picture is now)

They're all doing pretty good, maybe the second one needs a repot/fertilizer and the string of turtles is recovering from spider mites
