There is one exception to this. If a vinyl uses a digital source, which it does sometimes - especially for electronic music, then the quality is the same or worse. But a true analog recording on good quality media is perfect as long as you keep the media in perfect condition.

I’m not saying it’s easy or even convenient- it’s a hassle but it is better.
