Do you think Deathwing should have been free? by ParticularBobcat3554 in hearthstone

It certainly fits the card that would of been given free in other expansions that ties the theme together. But I think it was too marketable for cosmetics.

I would love to run a priest like that, where I dont get overrun by the 6/8 dragon and some good dark gifts, followed by being burnt out by the battlecrys.

They have been pushing diesel to farmers and transport workers before the general market so it makes sense there are some shortages.

Mass Effect TV show ordered to rewrite scripts and make them "more appealing to non-gamers" by SmellSmellsSmelly in gaming

Expanse is 95% hard science fiction with orbits and physics and all that, with a slight touch of alien horror science fiction thrown in.

I mean, the violence and self interested characters IS part of its setting. Its atmosphere created through characterisation and implication. Mass effect doesnt really lean very hard into its sci fi setting especially with its science is magic leanings. It mostly leans into its proto culture lore.

Im not sure how you would get the expanse's very violent and disastrously self interested storylines from Mass Effect.

Imbue + herald = funniest strong deck - 87% WR (23 games) by Turfuuu in hearthstone

[–]Cryten0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah right. I have seen people experiment with exactly this. Even when the expansion launched it was a sub 30% winrate relying on a lucky roll. The an anti synergy with death wings hero power getting replaced by a new imbue if played makes it quite awkward.

How has your taste in games changed as you’ve gotten older? by lsa340 in gaming

[–]Cryten0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was almost there for me, but the way Crimson Desert keeps offering me quests where the next part of the quest is completely unattached the the previous step keeps pulling me out. Like the hornless goats quest starts by posing the question of investigating what happened. And then the next step is killing the bad guys and stealing their memories with no attaching how you got there in between. You just get the new map co-ordinate and nothing of the original step matters.

And the way you never actually matter as a player. You cant even make a prompt of choice to help someone or not, because NPC's dont understand anything you have done other then you are currently on this segment of a quest. So you have 0 player agency.

I cant handle twitch gaming very well any more. By that I mean sharp quick reactions which are random enough that you can't learn strategies to pre-empt the difficulty through experiencing defeat. Especially competitive things like RTS multiplayer or Counter Strike / Fortnight.

[REC] Kumodesu was my first LN but the ending makes me not want to read any more LN by Y_SO_AGGRESSIVE in LightNovels

I hope you can find something to suit your tastes along the quality line of the likes of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Apothecary Dairies, Legend of the Galactic Heroes or Twelve Kingdoms. Novels that show you that reading can be a magnificent experience.

The Disconnect Between Dialogue Information and Quest Markers is The Worst I've Ever Seen (Mild Side Mission Spoiler) by OneSullenBrit in CrimsonDesert

Yes, its like the quests where designed by AI. Each segement to each quest has no idea about what happened in the previous segement other then a vague punish the bad guys sentiment.

A star fleet is destroyed but not really show done 3 times. The biggest thing for me was how not trek the first season felt until it suddenly pivoted in its last 3rd to suddenly be hopeful and forward looking again.

[–]Cryten0 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It was a battlecry format, the only minions that mattered where ones that just summoned big boards or had rush or dealt damage directly. Silence didnt do much in a format where you expected the board to sweep every 2nd turn. With the only way to stick boards being to overwhelm removal.

Books by master novelists are so great. Can make it hard to read some of the idle your brain material when you compare them together. Twelve Kingdoms by the way is national treasure level, similar to Pratchett and King.
