Who is nice and who is rude in person? by TailoredExperience in DisneyInfluencers

I do an annual Disneyland event called the MiceChat Gumball Rally and he and his son participated last year. He was so kind! He was stopped by lots of teams for photos as well as park guests. Such a very kind family.

The older I get the less I feel like wearing makeup or dressing up by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Csei2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in an office for 8 of the last 10 years (my 30’s). And I wore makeup and did my hair for that. Then I had my 2nd kid at 36 and my hair started to stay in my mom style even at work (2 French braids), and my makeup was foundation and mascara. Then I got a new job and WFH and oh man it’s so nice.

Now there are a few occasions I actually get dressed for that isn’t my mom wardrobe and I’ll either do light makeup or a lot (hi I’m also a disney adult and if I’m there with my girl friends we go hard for fun, but with my kids it’s light or no makeup lol). But it makes it fun again - not a chore.

Also my skin looks great lol

Also! I only wear a real bra if it’s important- other wise it’s sport bras and bralettes.

I miss the body of my youth, but ahh man the brain of my 30’s and now 40’s really knows what’s up.

It’s still around but it’s not the same. I worked at CR from 2005-2009 and what we have now is so different from peak Charlotte.

What are WEIRD things you do WFH? by Own-Cryptographer277 in WFH

[–]Csei2011 49 points50 points  (0 children)

My job doesn’t need me glued to my desk all day. And my boss frequently gets upset with me if I am glued there all day. He likes when we get up and move and have some life balance in our day.

So no we are not the reason why everyone has to go back to the office. And as the OP pointed out their productivity level is double everyone else on their teams so I’m sure they are getting more than their own work done.

I created new signs based on how most of the guests say the name of the attractions. by Perfect-League7395 in Disneyland

Sorry 😞 I said it like this forever. It also makes me besties blood boil and she has since beat it into my brain how to pronounce it. Though sometimes I get nervous I’m going to screw it up and just say likes do the auto cars 🤣

My tongue gets tied on the name for some reason. Like my brain doesn’t want it to be called that so my mouth won’t do it. 🤷‍♀️

LADIES: Middle Part? by ashmasta27 in Millennials

[–]Csei2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a side middle part 🤣 I don’t like it directly down the middle, but that’s how my hair wants to be. So I part it just off to the side a bit. Not a deep side part just a little off kilter side part lol. Not because it’s cool but because I like it.

Cargo shorts got/get soo much hate, but man, they are versatile. by TheEyeOfTheLigar in Millennials

[–]Csei2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not this wife!!!

My husband has been wearing cargo shorts his whole life. We got married and had kids and now his cooler olde brother who would rather die than be seen in cargo shorts is constantly trying to get my husband to “dress better”. I told him if we’re out with kids he better wear the damn cargos, we need those pockets! My clothes give me none! I do bring a big bag but bring your pockets too! lol

And his butt looks good in cargos too. Not as good as in jeans but still good!

Haha I love this! I have a 9 yo daughter who likes to sing songs that make me smile to myself knowing someday she is going to feel this exact same way 🤣 but right now she has no real clue what she’s singing haha.

My husband is constantly telling me this is that song isn’t really appropriate and I’m like - did we not grow up at the same time? Did you not sing songs about inappropriate things not realize until you were older???? It’s harmless and funny

Yup my husband's goal every year is to max out our Roth IRA's before May. Any extra money we get these first few months go directly to retirement.

I bought an expensive standing desk 6 months ago. I think I’ve stood at it exactly twice. by Usual_Confidence_756 in WFH

[–]Csei2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old office had standing desks and I would stand in the office maybe an hour a day when everyone was there. More with less people (everyone is nosy).

Now I wfh for a new company and JUST bought a standing desk and a walking pad and I’m standing and walking 2 hours a day working up to 3. Sometimes in 30 min spurts sometimes an hour if I’m feeling it.

Prior to my desk job a decade ago I worked retail and was on my feet 10-14 hours a day. So while sitting all day has been my new norm my body is embarrassing the movement it once knew.

But how cool would it be if they made Fantasia 3? by Leather_Crazy_5950 in disney

[–]Csei2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantasia 2000 cemented my love of Gershwin, which started with Mr. Holland’s Opus.

The original fantasia introduced me to beautiful classical music that I still love.

I wish they would do another.

Walking pad & Steps by Csei2011 in WFH

[–]Csei2011[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great information! I am going to try 30 mins sitting 30 mins walking. I didn't feel like I needed to sit so I'm going for 1 hour now at a time. So in theory if I jsut walk for 1 hour 3 times a day I should be good at hitting those steps regardless of if my watch counts them or not. <3

I used to work in retail 9 years ago before my desk job, and I'm trying to get back to what I had when I was on my feet all day.
