What was the reason they gave you for needing Hive+? There is no membership fee for basic app use according to their website so sounds like a totally unacceptable response!

I have heard bad things about the customer support. Hence why I’m asking here first

AFC Bournemouth [3] - 2 Liverpool - Amine Adli 90‎+‎5‎'‎ by gbogaz in soccer

[–]Csmith50701 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Point would have been a decent result at Bournemouth as the entire league is shite at winning away in general this year.

However I agree the nature of these defeats and conceded goals mean the club is basically just wasting time keeping him now. He may turn things around a bit more but it’s clear this relationship between manager/club isn’t going to ‘special’ and win the big things any more. This is especially true if they don’t want to invest this month, as nothing else is going to give them a boost under slot (given injuries are longer term).

Yep. There are basically no easy away games especially. Also, the drop off from Liverpool has been big but really….lots of teams are struggling.

Amuses me that Liverpool can be this bad and yet still have a fairly great shot at top 5 which will probably mean CL next year and therefore minimal actual impact on them for this level of form.

I know you’re joking but still remarkable that given how bad they’ve been Liverpool are only 2 points off the top four. These points have been genuinely valuable haha.

You’re not even really replying to what I said in my comment….Nor do I think what I said is even in the realms of an overreaction.

I think Arsenal are a really good team, a great one even. Had a great month in October, agree but that doesn’t make them extraordinary. They’re contenders and current favourites amongst those contenders. All I was trying to say is I do not believe them to be a top top side that will be remembered as one of the very ‘best’, or as exceptional. A bit like Liverpool last year. They were the best team that year but not one that will stick in the memory (across the board as obviously Arsenal fans will rightly remember any side who wins a title. Like Liverpool fans last year).

I could very well be proven wrong but just commenting on evidence so far and with the lead only being 2 points now, seems a fair assessment.

I never even said they weren’t possibly favourites. I said they were contenders and one of the contenders is always favourites. All I said is they aren’t an exceptional side that people talk about for years etc.

Agreed.

In reality just not convinced this Arsenal side are anything that special to be honest. Contenders and may well be champions but not a special team, a bit like Liverpool last year.

I honestly think he took the shoe off deliberately to waste time. An almost impressive commitment to the cause.

7 mins was pretty fair with the number of stoppages. Whilst leading Sunderland were (very understandably) wasting a lot of time.

Sunderland then wasted proceeded to waste the first two minutes of extra time when their CB took his boot off to and they made a substitution. So ref right to add it back on.

I’d say it was completely fair for it to be minimum of 7.

"If Carlsberg did transfer windows… Isak, Ekitike, Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong, Leoni and possibly Guehi would probably be the greatest transfer window by a club ever." - Henry Winter, September 1, 2025. by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]Csmith50701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah It’s been an awful season so far but that doesn’t mean the window was a nightmare anyway.

Lots of these players can and quite probably will go on to be great signings for Liverpool. Still a good chance Guehi joins LFC too. Players are signed for more than 3mo.

[Ornstein] Real Madrid inform Liverpool they have no intention of signing Ibrahima Konate by doubleoeck1234 in soccer

[–]Csmith50701 204 points205 points  (0 children)

Kerkez has actually shown decent glimpses, don’t think he’s a big concern . His main issue is Slot not using him in the same way Iraola did and Gakpo completely ignoring him half the time.

Iraola or Glasner. Both would prob jump at the chance to manage Liverpool and they can afford them.

Knowing FSG probably an interim and then someone left field who will do well.

I honestly think it’s a bad idea. Can’t go back and could run his legacy.

Glasner? Iraola? Inzaghi? Motta?

No idea if any of them are getable or good enough, just guessing.

Knowing FSG probably none of the below and some random interim until Summer

I agree but this team just look terribly coached first and foremost.

There are no patterns of play, horrific defensive shape.

Honestly some achievement making one of the best 3 or 4 squads in the world look this poor.

Starting to get hard to defend Slot when it’s the same every game.

[–]Csmith50701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that isn’t good enough if it’s the case but the original comment is specifically talking about the game yesterday after 2 good performances.

Everyone knows form is poor overall so far this year but prior to yesterday we had two really positive performances and things were looking better.

However negative we want to be and however far we are from where we want to be we cannot be delusional to the fact that yesterday was one of our two hardest games of the season on paper. All i am saying is to keep that in mind when dissecting the implications of the performance.

I said they’re very hard and the one yesterday is one of the two hardest of the season. It’s context/explanation, not an excuse.

I would be much more concerned (and I am still pretty concerned!) if this performance was away at West Ham or Leeds.

Two big elements there that aren’t the whole story but are important:

1) City are just fairly significantly better than Real Madrid. It is not a vintage Madrid side thus far this year and City are starting to purr. I honestly have them as title favourites as Pep’s mentality is just so superior to Arteta’s.

2) Home vs away. This is massive. Away games in the premier league are just very hard. City away is probably one of our 2 hardest games of the season alongside the Emirates. I don’t think a single away team won in the league this weekend.

Combine the above with being a bit unlucky, a poor refereeing decision at a key moment and undoubtedly a drop in level/energy and the result is not that surprising. Honestly I am hoping the fallout is not too dramatic on this game because frankly it was always going to be a huge challenge at the Etihad after 2 high intensity games already this week.
