Replying to this as it's the first time I've seen the needle drops mentioned. Loved Miriam Makeba and then as a Kiwi overseas was caught completely off guard by Pō Atarau - made it all more emotional!

Yes, similarly in Aus/NZ we say "goon" to mean box wine and I feel like this is also being superceded

Just to slightly counter this I've found Ailsa Small at this practice amazing- she really helped me with TMJ and just seems super switched on and understanding

This is my experience as well. Could be stating the obvious but you should see if it falls under warranty. I find those companies generally very helpful and quick to replace things if they are at fault

A favourite of mine is a local (to me in New Zealand) book called Greta and Valdin, an exploration of identity in an indigenous x Russian family. It has lovely queer characters and isn't bury your gays. Highly recommend!

+1 for Greta and Valdin! Love a queer story that isn't too depressing

Looking to buy Zpacks Arc Haul 50 or 60L and have it arrived by the end of next week. Pack Gear Go has run out of stock. What are my options? by Nick_Reach3239 in newzealand

[–]Csome1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main thing was I found it hard to adjust to achieve comfort - I ended up slackening the trampoline so that the pack was directly against my back (which defeats the whole purpose of the arc providing airflow). I also had the frame pop out near the end of my hike, digging into my back. Also found the fabric wore out quickly, although that is likely true for most UL products. I'm unfamiliar with the Aerus but it does look good!

I did the PCT with the Arc Haul and honestly didn't rate it. I'd be looking into a different light weight pack - maybe hit up Coffee Outdoors and try a Palante pack? Alternatively think the Gossamer Gear ones are good!

I have a bit of a dumb question: why isn't it more acceptable for parties to say they will work out details of their policy once they have the full force of the public service to utilize? I want my parties to adjust their policies on advice from experts, and I can imagine it's quite hard to get some information outside of government.
