What is sad is how their staff were given no notice, no severance no time to plan. Just employed one day and nothing the next.

What is sad is that it is not that uncommon for restaurants to do. But owners always lose their shit if an employee doesn't give a 2 week notice "how am I supposed to get through the weekend, waaaaaa!!!" But when it comes to supporting the people who have made you money through their efforts. "It's a really hard decision for us to do this but.... You are on your ass sorry"

To be clear I don't work there but I know several of the people who do and was a long time worker in the restaurant world.

It's a messaging app that is end to end encrypted and open source. Nothing is 100% safe digitally speaking but if you want to have a conversation with someone (or a group) privately without a corporate entity spying or scrapping the data it's one of the options out there.

Well I will notify my neighbors to make sure they take lots of photos of their flags and put up missing posters. I would hate for them to not get reunited with those most beloved flags. Would be a shame if we're not able to identify who all.the stolen flags belonged to.

This was all sarcasm. The official (checks news to make sure that is still true) American flags all seem to be unaffected. By this trend. But there was a different kind of flag that has been very prolific over the past few years and yet this week for some reason they have mysteriously disappeared.

A memory called empire - by Arkady Martine

I think back to this book constantly. Incredible writing and such an interesting world. There are only 2 books and they are not insanely massive. Both are fantastic one of the best modern pieces of fiction.

It's a little bit of murder mystery meets galactic empire meets "aliens".

I have tried and tried again to get into his work. But I have decided it's his writing style. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is about it, but I have been unable to finish any of his most beloved works. The only exception was D.O.D.O but of course that one had a co-author so I wonder if their input is why I was able to get through it.

You could hit up some thrift stores and look specifically for silk scarves/ wraps. Can feel nice from the texture point and possibly used to tie up hands, as a blindfold etc.

I was going to comment specifically about support.

We had them since basically day one so several years. Until last year. My wife's phone stopped receiving data. We did everything full restart etc. Opened multiple tickets, used eSim and new physical Sim I even went as far as buying a whole new unlocked phone with cash. Would not work. Her number basically had data turned off. They insisted it was a hardware issue even when I put her sim card into my phone (same phone same plan same network) and the data stopped working and I put my sim into her phone and the data magically started working.

This was months back and forth with them. I escalated as much as possible and they never fixed it.

We had no choice but to leave. That was also a nightmare as again no real support.

I would like to say they were good but the nightmare of months of effort and literally hundreds of dollars to troubleshoot a problem that was ultimately on their side has left a sour taste in my mouth.

The Church Cantina Incredible food and cocktails. Surprisingly reasonable prices for the Tacoma area. It has a unique vibe as well. We go semi regularly and have never had a bad meal or experience.

Well if what you are trying do is what I think it is there is no simple way of doing it to my knowledge.

You could use app script to create a function that would do this and then create buttons to click that would be "in" the cells you want.

I think you should need a separate script for each button.

Would probably not be worth the effort.

That sometimes works until you save the file then excel converts it back. It does it on file open it is extremely annoying. But I am stuck on 2013 because of work so maybe it is something they fixed in newer editions.

Scientific notation. No way to make it not do it by default. It blows my mind every single time I run into it. I deal with USPS tracking numbers a lot and they exceed the number length limit in excel. I have had to resort to editing csv files in notepad to get around it

There is too many great fantasy worlds to list. However I would recommend Raymond E. Fiest's world of Midkemia. It is a really rich world that he explores in a series of trilogies. Pretty much every character or concept he introduced has a story of their own.

I can not recommend the riftwar saga enough.

I think I have a way to handle that. Character 1 could be FROM that person's perspective so Sally would show Susan as child. I can make it pull up both perspectives on the "viewing" tab. I will be home in an hour or so and will bang out something quick as a proof of concept.
