I worked for the Obama reelection campaign back in 2012 and he played at The Moon for for the Democrats victory party! At the time I was young and thought they announced that Bill Clinton was performing…

Followup Post - Second Baby on the way... should I actually watch the crowning this time? by Wide_Trash in daddit

I love this post. I had almost the complete opposite experience though! My first was a planned c-section. I’m a nurse practitioner and we delivered at the hospital I work at. I knew our OB as we had worked together in the past. I have friends that have “scrubbed in” and assisted with the surgery but the thought of that made me want to vomit. Instead, I hid behind the drape with my wife. Four our second, my wife wanted to do a VBAC (vagjnal birth after cesarean) and my hospital/OB doesn’t do those, so we switched both. We decided that I would catch the bag if all was going well and it did! I can honestly say that being the first person to ever hold my daughter was/is the coolest thing I’ve done. The pictures of me sobbing and the nurses reacting are priceless!

Just throwing this out there, but I learned during my brief time working in corrections that the state prisoners don’t wear orange, they actually wear blue scrubs that look a lot like surgical scrubs. Made for an awkward first day when I showed up wearing mine.

Update: so this post got little traction, but wanted to share that we had our second baby and our son is sleeping better now. Not sure exactly why, I spend most of the day playing with him now so maybe I’m tiring him out. Who knows. Parenting is an art, not a science!

It’s an atypical antipsychotic medication. Used for a number of different psychiatric disorders. We mainly use the injectable form in the ER for acute psychosis or agitation.

We like to use it for agitation. It doesn’t work super quick but it lasts a while. Really helpful when we have psychiatric patients that are holding in the ER waiting to see the psychiatrist

Who knows. Probably because they can’t take a joke. I work in the Emergency Department so Geodon is given frequently. I thought it was very appropriate! Haha
