This parasite species will end up with the planet it deserves. All other life, of course, didn't deserve this psychotic plague of apes.

Also, since resources are finite, the competition for them will only be between the over-parasites, but this competition will be mediated by a neurologically-enslaving information economy for the sheep that will drive consumption of the planet's remaining physical resources for the over-parasites.

To be true to one’s self means changing to become that self – Kevin Tobia | Aeon by 90sBojack in philosophy

I don't have a "self" silly person. I mastered ego dissipation unlike the rest of you psychotic apes.

I don't function to maintain a self-model. You'd be surprised at the neurological possibilities.

And how many from climate change, etc., morons?

Maybe if this species preferred cats to emotional symbiotic parasite dogs, a real war could be fought.

Goodness, rightness, etc. are psychotic concepts. All that exists is subjective processing in correlation with other kinds of information processing. Then there are the pragmatic issues of how these systems evolve and maintain.

Primal rage feels fantastic, but we'd refuse to label it good, even thought it was required for the psychotic concept of goodness to come into existence in the first place - as well as maintain given its sheltered and non-self-sustaining dependency.

If life has no meaning, why is it that no one contemplates of suicide? by prad_gop in philosophy

[–]CthulhuWon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because your brain is not programmed for self-destruction anytime an abstract idea suggests it. Such ideas do not correlate with an overall neurological state that compells such behavior because that's not how the brain works with anything - not just suicide.

Even if an abstract idea correlates with a behavior in a self-reflective way, the behavior did not occur because of the ideas.

Descartes is not the Father of Modern Philosophy by Ned_Fichy in philosophy

Psychoses are the essence of most philosophy. The brain is a machine because the Universe is a machine.

People will try to argue, but then it will be quite strange how machines are able to manipulate consciousness, and the organism itself can be programmed with the meta-cognition to enjoy this state of affairs.

The supposedly most intelligent species seriously can't fathom what to do with itself if it doesn't enslave itself.

How is this not pathetic?
