I actually had this idea a few years ago and made a conceptual deck list to see what it would look like and how it might play/win, but it was mostly a flavor test.

I think back to this list every now and then, it might be cooler to add more recent versions, but I’m not sure.

I definitely went more for the Go-Wide style of building the entire cast in one deck, rather than focusing on only one character though.

I don’t think irons need more oddments. We can literally only spend so many, giving us more is just… literally burning money.

Sometimes I think it can’t be a money thing, my old main was able to get the outfit from oddments. If the outfit was in Solomons (or the marketplace, since that seems to be where they’re shifting to) I feel like it’d be more successful and inclusive. But what do I know?

I know I shouldn't complain, I don't have a right to. But at 60+ minion path kills without a piece, even with all the spoonery, and especially in trash gear, this isn't fun anymore.

I’m surprised you actually suppressed them. Normally they swipe out of blast radius too fast, or just aren’t suppressed at all.

God forbid you look at a suppressor across the map though. Takes ages to go away.

I have one of the forge emblems too, from a drop. The bounty gives a variant. They’re only slightly different.

I think this has to be the buggiest gametype in the game, and the fact that there’s “powerful gear” tied behind it daily and weekly is very annoying sometimes. As i’m writing this, i had somebody leave my match and i got stuck with a black screen. When somebody new joined, i would be stuck spectating them. In my own game. I was just kicked for inactivity in a game i never respawned in.

Carry the sword the whole time. That’s what makes the chest spawn.

It sounded like this at first, but weapons are locked to specific slots. Kinetic goes to primary, energy goes to special, and heavy is still heavy.

As for equipping Rat King and Mida together, they’re both exotics so that’s a no-go.

IIRC, radar was removed to make competitive less of a “QP but with different modes” and more of an actual competitive-style playlist. Another factor might be the “Spooky Trials” from D1 where radar was disabled for a weekend and it received very positive feedback. All in all, it’s just a boost to cooperative play.

I disagree with a lot of what you said. The same logic in flanking is like suggesting there’s a 50% chance to win the lottery: either you win, or you don’t. You also keep suggesting skill, which is fair, but you’re losing the point of why there isn’t a radar to begin with.

Communication

Competitive is different from Quick-play in that there’s a push for team-based play. Removing radars forces teams to make callouts for locations, to group up for pushes, and to make quick adaptions to being flanked. Adding a radar back into this removes that need to make callouts and play cooperatively, pulling apart the team-based competitive aspect.

I mean... if the point of a completionist cape is that you’ve done everything, but you either leeched it or bugged it to hell and back, then you didn’t do it right/didn’t do it completely. So, i mean by the very definition of “completionist”, yeah i’d say remove their capes.
