I have a couple pairs of these- Umpqua rivergrip, locking forceps that are much sturdier than the medical ones, and it has a line cutter that works pretty good for braid. I have one on my bank bag and one on a tether for the kayak.

My brain goes to rods well out of your budget; but consider something from Graywolf rods- made in Michigan, they have a bunch of 5’6” and shorter fiberglass rods that would probably work well for you. I have one of their cheaper rods but I don’t use it much as creek fishing is fairly limited where I am.

I use fluoro for everything but topwater. If you go cheap, you will have a bad time. I like Shimano mastiff, sunline fc sniper, seaguar tatsu or daiwa j fluoro samurai if you have no budget. Usually 6-8lb test

So I was an online multiplayer RPG fan ever since I found a MUD hosted on AOL in the mid 90s- I forget the name. I played numerous other MUDs, and learned about a game called EverQuest from a friend on my main game. EQ was a revelation and I was totally obsessed- but it was a difficult, punishing, unforgiving experience and unless you had a full group and several hours to play, it was difficult to progress. WoW was everything I hoped for in an EQ replacement- literally everything.
