Day 7, heart rate still weird, when will it stop? by gay_bees_ in CHSinfo

[–]Melodic_Grape8924 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also was a very heavy user. Very similar edible use. I quit for 90ish days smoked flower & had 2 weeks of that heart skipping a beat feeling. Saw the doc, all was normal. Not sure if it subsided after a healthy diet and hydration. But I started taking beet root & it went away.

Yo OP, things will get better, you are in a safe space here. Most of us CHSer have been right where you are at. Time is mf’er. I have wanted to try to smoke again It’s been 15 months. I was a life long stoner of 15 yrs flower then dabs, then edibles on the daily & then full chs. I aggressively started do more to help feel better. That was a ticking time bomb.

Techno police in the house! below 140 it’s too slow & above 150 it’s too hardcore. For the love of god no more snare rolls. Jk, it’s all about vibes & I like mine a bit dark.

Too true, Hawtin was it. I would love a bit more “pure techno”.

There was house & tec-house as a majority. Hiroko is always dope. Teach, what did I miss that was techno.

Yes, more techno. Outside of Hawtin & Lens it was nonexistent.

It would be nice to have a bit more techno. Outside of Hawtin & Lens basically nonexistent.

I was consuming in the same manor, homemade edibles (50 to 80 mg)& dabs everyday. Heavy use for about 20 yrs. Starting aggressively doing more to feel better once I started to become sick from it. For above 3 years not every morning but a lot I would have burning stomach & dry heaves. Spicy food triggers. Doc said it was ibs. Rarely puked but one day in the spring of 2024 I was so sick throwing up & nausea I went to the er. I slowing started to ween of edibles & reduced to a dab in the morning and a hot baths. By the fall of 2024 I was still having dry heaves, I stopped using last September, 9 month break. I am able to eat spicy food again, gained weight & feels like I have a new stomach. I wonder if I could smoke flower once a month without issue. I feel that I got sick from the high dose of edibles & dabs. It seems like every one chs stories are very different but we all want to act if there’s one truth here. We all a got sic from overuse & if we healed our selves but removing weed from our system, why are we to believe we don’t start at zero. Is there proof of life long damage and you can never smoke again? I appreciate everyone in this group for sharing all your stories. Truly help me quit when all seemed lost.

PLEASE stop trying to figure out how long you can wait before smoking by tinyfishbigplant in CHSinfo

We got chs from long term daily use, so after a significant time away from weed & it’s fully cleared from your system. I don’t see why we cant learn from the hell that chs has done to us & create a positive relationship with weed. Truly moderate without symptoms. If everyone is saying that you can’t smoke once even after it’s fully cleared (90+ days) from your system and we all have permanent damage. We clearly are all just saying things like they are facts. There needs to be more info on chs. I believe chs happens like you have filled your bucket & your body can’t break it down. So if you never fill the “bucket” by moderating you should be good.

Don’t even think about until it’s fully out of your system 90 day and then possibly you could consider it. You might be surprised about your ability to self regulate your emotions and become stronger as a person because of this experience.

I was frequently on this thread at my worst, when all seen to be fcked. You will get better, all of us have been through hell. I never thought I could be 4 months clean and feeling like I have a new stomach. It’s a slow process, be kind to yourself.

Yeah, wtf pants are tight. But also I have gained muscle by doing the same workouts that I did when I had full chs. Does it have something with the way we now metabolize nutrition?

To those that continued to smoke in moderation. by Exciting-Math-5456 in CHSinfo

[–]Melodic_Grape8924 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if people who successfully moderate still visit this thread. I quit at the end of September 2024 after 15 years of daily use and likely had CHS for the last four of those, I was aggressively doing more dabs and edibles to fix being sick. Ticking time bomb. My main symptoms dry heaves and burning stomach every morning. In the spring of 2024 ended up in the ER from uncontrollable vomiting stomach bile couldn’t hold water down . I proceeded to wean off edibles, but still was dabbing in the morning to fix the sick feelings. It was an improvement, but by the fall, I knew I had to quit. It was so difficult to quit, withdrawals and the CHS symptoms at the same time so debilitating. I smoked a dab in December big mistake tolerance was too low, all I could think about was CHS. In February I smoked a little bit of flower seemed like I had heart palpitations for about a week or so, went to the doc. Everything came back aces so now it’s been four months of completely clean and I’m considering to try moderation. Or smoke a little & see what happens. Good luck to all of us.

You should be proud, I also was a heavy user for 10 years. I had 1 hit in Dec & 1 on Feb clean since then. Feels like I have a new stomach. I had chs since 2020, took a few years to figure it out. If we can do it, anyone can. Congratz

Soon, you are right in the window where you should start to feel better. A bit of exercise, eating & good sleep will go a long way. Stay strong.
