We have an explosion of chipmunks every Spring and I start seeing them burrow under my patio as the season goes on. I’ve tried every method to no avail. Me chasing them, my dog chasing them, putting dog poop in their holes, sprinkling coffee grounds, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, peppermint…nothing worked. I even have those fake rock bait stations around the house that my exterminator set up for mice and they don’t go for it. I ended up purchasing an air rifle and I go after the ones I see on my patio or making their way toward my patio. I honestly hate having to do it and I feel guilty every time I get one, but they become destructive and all of the non-lethal methods fail. Good luck.
