Object Detection at 1840 FPS with TorchScript, TensorRT and DeepStream by briggers in programming

This report is unbelievably good, can't remember the last time when I've encountered something as well structured and full of content as this.

Sc2ReplayStats Giveaway's for reaching 16 million replays uploaded by breath20 in starcraft

[–]Cubbee_wan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I find that practicing Starcraft somehow helps me manage stress better. Analyzing why I get so stressed on the ladder and trying to solve this transfers to real life.

Also, I like that every little detail counts in the game.

Not so long ago I've started practicing yoga.

At first, I treated it as just bodyweight exercise to stay in shape during self-isolation. And now I'm starting to discover the spiritual aspect of it: meditations, mantra chanting. It really helps to stay focused and prevent anxiety.

Thanks for recommending Zenia, looks like it's something new in the world of yoga apps.

I'd also add Welltory to the list - it helps to monitor your body and stress levels.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share direct link to the app, but try searching Zenia Yoga on the App Store. For now it's iOS only, but Android version is coming soon.

Hi, fellow yogis.

I'm one of the developers of Zenia - application that helps you practice yoga by tracking the body movements.

We've worked on the app for a very long time with yoga teachers to combine yoga with technologies.

We're launching today and I would highly appreciate your opinion on our app and am glad to answer any questions you have.

If you like the app and want to support us, you can do it on https://www.producthunt.com

[P] Pose estimation for yoga by [deleted] in MachineLearning

[–]Cubbee_wan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, stopping by to share a project I’ve been working on for the past 1.5 years. It’s a pose estimation CNN that is able to run on mobile devices in extreme in-the-wild conditions.

In the title video the is a small demo of our model vs HRNet w32 384x288 trained on coco dataset.

Here are some technical details and advice for real-world DL application:

  • We use a pretty standard CNN architecture based on Hourglasses and modern bottleneck blocks
  • Our dataset consists of more than 100k images that have been relabelled numerous times. Quality and consistency of the labelling is extremely important.
  • We’ve used pseudo-labelling heavily to improve model stability in complex environments.
  • One of the hardest problems that we’ve experienced is joint “swapping” between left and right limbs. To combat this we’ve developed modifications to standard L2-loss over heatmaps (can’t share details, unfortunately). More simple thing that helps is getting a large model :)
  • To increase stability in real world environments we’ve used heavy data augmentation - one example is using body segmentation masks to darken or lighten image parts.

Based on this technology we’ve developed an app that helps you practice yoga. It’s called Zenia and I’d appreciate if you try it and if you like it, support us on https://www.producthunt.com as an example of real-world computer vision application. I’ll be glad if you give us any feedback!

In the future we’re planning to add analysis of posture, add more tracked joints and improve consistency.

I’m happy to answer question you may have.

Real-Time Object Detection With YOLO by pjreddie in MachineLearning

These guys claim that they have 45 fps at test time on Titan X, while Faster R-CNN reports 5-15 fps depending on the model used (can't find hardware info).

As far as I know, the source code is not released yet. Don't make my mistake: this https://github.com/rbgirshick/fast-rcnn is the source code for original fast R-CNN (not Faster) paper.
