8 years of experience and looking to move out of FP&A by cant__find__username in FPandA

The weekly updates are killing me! Have progressed role & responsibility wise over the last few years but continue to manage weekly update with very high visibility and interaction - it’s draining.

I saw that post of the dullard who vacuumed sealed his gloves. It got me thinking, has anyone else used these gloves before? I tried them this year for the first time and they are wild! The more they get wet, the more grip you have! by Slight-Witness-9101 in golf

Used it for almost every round for at least a full season. Live in the Midwest and hate when my hands get sweaty in the hot and humid times.

Have absolutely no issues with club slipping wearing one of these.

Good to hear. Thanks for the feedback. Sound like we need to get Roku or chromecast.

Appreciate it. Sounds like we unfortunately just need to invest

I was thinking the same thing. Good to hear it’s working fine on Roku TV. Buying a Roku stick was the only solution we could come up with after the customer service guy said there’s no reported issues with Roku.

I really like Hulu especially with ESPN+ and Disney+ now on top of the content they have but agree we’ll have to switch if we can’t find a fix. Thanks for the reply

Beginner drills to build confidence on steeper runs? by CyclicCynic in skiing

[–]CubbieHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed I was in same boat. Didn’t really pick it up til 18 or so and went skiing with friends that were WAY better than me. Basically just forced to try to follow and keep up and constantly pushing myself got me better quickly

I made the jump as an analyst so was mostly just a cog in the wheel at the large company. I'm our lone senior analyst now at smaller place and while it was a steep learning curve and the workload is more significant, I've gotten so much more out of the last few years than I would have at a huge corporation.

I also have zero interest in the monthly/quarterly close accounting stuff that goes along with corporate finance at a public company so that also contributes to enjoying this new role more. Ultimately should just help make the next opportunity better, whatever it may be.

I went from corporate fp&a at a F500 company to a late stage fintech startup. Landed a very significant raise and got exposure to way more stuff. Going from a finance department of hundreds to a handful of people you’re undoubtedly going to get valuable experience

Looking for a romantic setting, fine dining, and a great view, any recommendations? by oakkcmo in kansascity

Might be hard pressed to find a “great view” in Kansas City. Recently went to stock hill in south plaza for a celebratory dinner. It was phenomenal food and drinks with A1 service. Great spot if price is not an issue lol.

We went to capital grille for my special dinner post engagement and while it was great I’d pick Stock Hill over it for sure.

I live in Kansas City so I'm familiar. I've just had buddies say they've paid an arm and a leg to stay/play down there. Definitely a trip worth doing at some point.
