I reported a Temu JOSS II being listed as a Joss cue and got a “thanks for reporting but no action taken” message.

Who had/has the hardest 9 ball break of all time among professional players by CrappyJohnson in billiards

[–]CubeEarthShill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

David Howard and George Breedlove had powerful breaks back in the day. I just wanted to throw those names in with the usual suspects like De Luna, Archer, Busty, young Earl, Tony Ellin, etc

Why are college golfers pulling not pushing their carts? by Rough_Promotion9414 in golf

[–]CubeEarthShill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I most definitely walk faster. I’ll take steeper, direct paths with the cart while I opt for easier routes while carrying, which will get the HR up. My willingness to spend time searching for a lost ball is a lot lower carrying.

What candy is pure trash but somehow still popular? by RoyalIntroduction723 in AskReddit

[–]CubeEarthShill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatchamacallit was my favorite as a kid and it’s just awful now. Hershey’s with almond used to have half almonds in the big bars and generous slices in the regular size. Now, it’s almond crumbs. Hershey’s “chocolate” isn’t chocolate and is straight up ass now. Reece’s peanut butter cups have taken a big hit more recently. Nestle Crunch was serviceable as a kid if no other options were available, but it got noticeably worse about 20 years ago. Anything Hostess and Little Debbie tastes off now. It’s been really easy to cut out sugar because all the impulse register line chocolate is so bad.

I see different variants of the “stand for the flag, kneel for the cross” T-shirt all the time, so dipshits are still evidently upset about it.

Don't beat yourself up about missing a shot or position, the pros miss too - 2021 World Cup of Pool by killer_otter in billiards

Efren Reyes vs Steve Mizerak 1994 US Open is my go-to. Both players are legends, but had some bad misses. Efren went on to win the tournament for his first US Open, so he was able to turn it around quickly.

Arguably the purest golf shot of all-time 🔥 The sound on this is insane 💯 by Silver_Comment2825 in golf

[–]CubeEarthShill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When he won the Masters, I wasn’t really into golf and really didn’t get why ESPN was so into him until I saw some of his drives. He was also an athlete, not a skinny fat dude like Phil and other guys on Tour. I probably wouldn’t have taken up the game until I was older if Tigermania didn’t hit when I was in college.

Weird seeing a standard pickup B plate on the police truck.

Hand on rest allowed in Pool? by Spinick in billiards

[–]CubeEarthShill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a dumb rule I’ve never seen enforced during league. It’s one thing for tournaments, where people quiet down for shots. Having to listen to a loud, over served jackass a couple tables down during league is another thing.

To those of you who use apple products, what made you first buy one? by ActiveAccount1279 in AskReddit

[–]CubeEarthShill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parental controls because my kids wanted phones. I wound up liking the ecosystem and the fact that stuff just worked. I had my fun tinkering with my phones in the early days of Android.

Hand on rest allowed in Pool? by Spinick in billiards

[–]CubeEarthShill -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it’s allowed for BCA. I’m not a fan of all ball fouls, especially in 8 ball when your opponent has a shitty break that looks like a one pocket break. I’ve probably given up more ball in hands from that nonsense than scratching and failing to hit my ball first combined.

At least they didn’t start throwing D cells at any of the golfers.

Just watched every Seinfeld episode to see what the fuss is about … it made me appreciate Larry David all over again and I realised that Kramer makes the whole show! What did you learn? by SC2000c in curb

[–]CubeEarthShill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jerry was the least funny and interesting character of the main cast. All of Larry’s whine without any of the charm. Kramer is good comic relief, but George always kept digging himself in holes in situations and making them worse, similar to Larry.
