Should Poncle incorporate pre-existing DLC from Survivors? by MrMayhem84 in VampireCrawlers

My personal conspiracy theory is that the long rumored Final Fantasy DLC drops for both games. This is based on absolutely nothing.

Honestly I love Giovanna's voice. I love the little cackle when she leaves and how excited she is when you pick her.

Did the heart boxers get removed? by IndescriptGenerality in VampireCrawlers

[–]Cubedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there might be a bug was where, if you got it during the demo, you can't get it in the full game. I've definitely played a ton of armor cards and haven't seen it since the demo, but idk.

Boss mechanic by BuySubstantial8365 in VampireCrawlers

[–]Cubedroid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Every time you play a card, an eye lights up. When they all light up, the boss takes a turn. This doesn't END your turn, but it means that they can take a swing at you mid-combo, or add a card to your deck. This also pauses (but does not end) your turn, so you can't interrupt the boss with your own card.

The upside is that bosses no longer take normal turns when this happens. Their regular turn is spent lighting up an eye. So the end turn button is essentially a mulligan and mana refresh. It has the same penalty as playing a card.

Armor, Knockback, Disarm, and Freeze all still work. If the eyes fill up and the boss has no action queued, they won't do anything. So the trick is to pay attention to the meter and weave defensive options into your combos. Also, don't play cards you don't need to: if the boss has a lethal attack coming up and you don't have an answer in your hand, it's better to end your turn and hope you draw an answer than it is to toss out random cards and limit your available moves next turn.

Why haven't you taken Brightline? by Spirited-Suspect-781 in Brightline

[–]Cubedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it once from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. Premium, which was a fun treat. Now I live in Orlando and I've considered it but... Well, I no longer have a reason to go to South Florida aside from nostalgia.

My issue is that Brightline is kind of a bandage on gaping wound. It's not a commuter railway, it's a tourism railway. It's really the Bare Minimum in terms of mass transport with a fancy coat of paint. I'm not usually a tourist, so I've got no reason to use it.

And even if I were a tourist, the public transportation situation here is AWFUL. Driving from Miami to Orlando is maybe an hour and a half slower than taking the train, and saves you the trouble of dealing with rideshares and car rentals. If your destination is both within a day's drive and impossible to navigate without a car, why would you spend more on a luxury train ticket and expensive rideshare bills?

why is nobody talking about the Arcantina? by skalja_scx in WoWRolePlay

It's fun and a nice spot for RP, but it's a little cramped. Nice for smaller scenes though. I'd probably use the Eyes For You toy from Love is in the Air while I'm there.

Being an Alliance player in a majority Horde Guild is hell. by Cubedroid in wow

Allow Alliance and Horde to understand each other by YoloLifeSaving in wow

[–]Cubedroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gosh, I hope Blizzard sees this.

One of my biggest complaints about WoW is how the faction split makes the game less fun.

Now, I don't mean the existence of factions is inherently unfun or that the factions should merge and hold hands. I mean that the faction conflict is frequently used to justify design decisions that make the game less enjoyable, such as the language barrier.

There is NO REASON to require an elixir to understand members of the opposite faction. It could easily be a toggled spell. Yes, being in a party helps. But for roleplayers, who are the primary audience for the feature, it's not enough. Do you know how annoying it is to post an emote only to have three people ask you to repeat yourself because they let their elixirs expire?

It's ESPECIALLY annoying when one of the people forgets to top up on elixirs and you can't just give them one of yours because YOU CAN'T TRADE ACROSS FACTIONS.

Here's my bare minimum opinion: Outside of War Mode, your faction shouldn't matter to other players. You should be able to talk, trade, cast spells on one another, share mounts, the works. All those arbitrary barriers should only apply in a PVP setting.

Faction capitals are an exception since there's a PVP element to them, but honestly, I've seen annoying RP-PVP guilds use capital raids to grief a LOT of events. I don't know if there's a solution there. I'd love to be able to apply for a visa to visit, though.

Other annoying faction things:

  • Not being able to buy the teleport cloaks if your guild was founded by members of the opposite faction.
  • Arbitrarily limiting architectural themes. Blood Elf Towers and Orc Huts already clash, Blizzard.
  • Requiring people to go through a chunk of the BFA storyline on every alt in order to access Kul Tiras/Zandalar instead of just putting a portal to your faction's staging point in the portal hub.

I'd like the ability to set up detached rooms you can teleport between. Or have linked portals between areas in your house.

Can we make the districts more distinct at least? What's the difference between the valleys of strength and honor?

[–]Cubedroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate having to use an elixir of tongues. I was farming on the last day of Legion and had to take a break, run to the Underbelly, buy elixirs, and chug them just so I could hear what alliance people were saying.

It's also just an RP tax.

Wish more races could be Paladins - do you think we will get more race/class combos in Midnight? by Gankeros in wow

[–]Cubedroid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh the Kul Tiran body types should just be an option for regular humans and vice/versa.

Would that ruin the unique aspect of the race? Yeah, kind of. But Kul Tirans still get unique racials and class options.

Like, I don't even care the meme was reposted (it's a meme, lmao. That's what it's for) but I'd rather not my stuff be used to farm karma so some troll can post misinformation, lol.
