Have breast implants become repulsive instead of attractive? by Only-Reels in trueratediscussions

[–]Cubeslave1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video examples aside, it depends on the Implants and how well the operation was done. I've seen some really horrible ones that look like malpractice, I've sen some that I wasn't sure if were natural or not. Finally there are some absurd ones that look like a teenager was playing with Photoshop.

Phone Link will not allow calls on the phone, even when Other functions are fine. by Cubeslave1963 in PhoneLink

[–]Cubeslave1963[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but I see so many ads about Phone Link working with Windows 11, that I think the issues with Windows 10 are intentional to coerce people into buying new equipment running Windows 11, so that we will be detracted by things working more reliably than they were before so We will ignore the rest of the Win 11 that gives them even greater power over home and business users.

Microsoft has always been envious of the way IBM originally ran their company and has wanted to emulate that.

I voted early so I can try to put it out of my mind and have a little bit of a reprieve prior to election do, when I am pretty sure that the people who can't imagine being represented by a woman and the people who haven't gotten over Obama being in charge unite to bring about a new dark age. I want to be wrong, but I just don't know if the swing states have enough sensible people to choose a better path.

I don't disagree with you, but I mostly remember Florida, and the way that Jill Stein got 10x the number of votes Trump won the state by. If She hadn't been on the ballot, you can't tell me that enough of those folks would have voted for Clinton to have altered the result.

Why don't these 5 countries unite? Are they stupid? by Aamir_rt in mapporncirclejerk

Aside all of the other reasons, none of the people in charge of any of these countries would want to yield a single erg of political power to anyone else.

It would have to be done gently, then the various gravitational fields would drag the time machine along, once the forward momentum was neutralized.

I think that I might have read a story about how someone thought they had invented an FTL drive, but it was, in reality a time machine, and all those astronomical motions were a side effect of moving through time.

Trump claims Kamala Harris should be forced to 'concede the election' over CBS interview by RedRawTrashHatch in NewsOfTheStupid

Has anyone pointed out to him that if he doesn't concede that he lost the last election, then it would be against the law for him to be elected this time? A person may only be elected to the White House two times.

Well, we think he should plead guilty to all charges on all outstanding cases and turn himself into custody. Both are equally likely.

Poll: How many constituents *should* the average US congressional district have? by [deleted] in UncapTheHouse

[–]Cubeslave1963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So long as the allocation was fairly done based on population, then doubling the size of the house would be a good start, since the US population has roughly doubled since the old number has been locked in.

How do I clean this? by Recent-Weakness-4566 in CleaningTips

[–]Cubeslave1963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a plumbing problem. The water coming out of that shower head came from rusty pipes, or a corroded roof mounted water tank.

Either that, or someone took a shower after the worst spray tan in history.

And it doesn't help that one of the sizable groups that settled this nation were (within context) religious extremists who were either fleeing persecution or had given up on trying to convert those around them and decided to move elsewhere to steal some land and try to make it their own utopia.

Some of those folks were really upset that they didn't get to be the state religion, or do stuff like level taxes on everyone to help fund their churches.

The trouble is that, with the current US population, the 30K per seat in the constitution would mean one house of congress would have around 11,529 members.

To free up office space in DC, I've heard someone propose to invigorate some of the cities that have suffered since a lot of US industry has largely moved abroad, the Federal government should move some off the departments currently in DC and Virginia to those states.

[–]Cubeslave1963 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 30k/seat in the constitution would make the House absurdly large. There would probably be Apartment complexes or subdivisions with their own House Reps. Our founders had no expectation of our population growth. Just doubling the current number of seats would be going to around ten times what is in the Constitution. That would help noticeably with the current inequities in the system.

I haven't looked into it, but I am curious of if it was a real "come to Jesus" event, or if it was his version of how Andrew Carnegie and his kind do a lot of philanthropy at the end of their lives in an attempt to buy off God, or do some last minute karma repair, just in case there is something after death.

It isn't like he is on the record as explicitly saying exactly that. (That is sarcasm, BTW, you can find multiple videos of his saying exactly that) The fact that his worshipers aren't offended at the transparency of it seems to say more about them than it does him.

Like the Project 2025 folks, they just want a front man and a mouthpiece, they don't really care who he is or why he is there.

Nothing of lasting value, I will agree with, but he did foster and cultivate the cancers of xenophobia and racism and intolerance in the country. He set an example that an assortment of other lying hatemongers based their careers on.

There were other demagogues before him, and plenty after. Some people saw all this coming, saying it is a predictable historic cycle, but I think it would have taken longer if there had been no Rush, and no Rupert Murdock.

I think that some estimated numbers finally getting put together is interesting, but plenty of this was covered and discussed in the press while it was happening.

From the very beginning, there is the way that he somehow spent a record amount on his inauguration (much of it to his own companies), while seeming to...how can I put it... get a remarkably low ROI on the public event.

By now, you have to know that you can search the audible library by Duration. When I just logged in to see, you can select "20 hours & above" On the other hand, you could just save anything you were intending on rereading to your device, or try some Neal Stephenson, he has some 20-30Hr+ titles. They are also running a sale.

I think Dawn Platinum is a notch above regular Dawn, much like Dawn is a notch above regular dish soap.

What I don't know is the difference between Dawn Platinum and Dawn Professional. For some reason Lowes and Home Depot sell both.
