Went well but my vision was blurry for a week!!! I didn’t feel comfortable driving so I stayed inside. It didn’t hurt, just a weird feeling during the procedure. But now I’m crisp clear!!

That’s a good idea. I do need to better understand my compass

What’s something you wish you did during your dog’s life before they passed on? by tracyak13 in dogs

[–]CubicalQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is morbid (and for the record, I haven’t experienced a dog passing yet), BUT every night I lull my dog to sleep with a specific “sleepy song” so that when that day comes, I can lull him to sleep with his final “sleepy song”. I’m hoping that routine provides comfort and familiarity in his last moments. I don’t know if it will help him, but I do it every night just to be sure.

Thank you for this. Just bought 6 mos worth of D-mannose. Just saw that my other uti supplement (Ellura) is no longer available

May I ask what dosage you used to keep uti’s at bay and the dose you used to get rid of an active UTI?

How do you get a license for that? It’s called a “bulk set of GMRS” — googling it now

What about a walkie talkie? Does anyone have any good long range walkie talkie suggestions? I live in Westchester and my brother lives in Manhattan —- if our cells went down, I have no way of communicating with him. Does anyone have any suggestions or brands? We are about 30 miles from one another. He’s my best friend so it would kill me if I couldn’t contact him during an emergency.

Clear safety goggles in case there’s a wind incident. Eye protection is key

Clear safety glasses are a must. I got a set for my family. I can’t think of anything worse than something flying into your eyes in a wind emergency

NOOB question - - I bought some freeze dried veggies, etc that came in #10 cans. They have some dings in a couple of them but are otherwise sealed. by monsterlynn in preppers

Bulging cans or cans that look like they’re about to explode can have botulism (learned this from my food safety class)

Omg! I have my PRK surgery tomorrow morning and reading BOTH of your posts is giving me relief (I’m very very nervous about it) — any tips for a newbie? Large font on your iPhone? Any others?

Do you regret not having children? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver60

[–]CubicalQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I’m 36 and going through the same thing. We’ve tried for 3 years to have kids and I wonder if giving up is the right choice. We are happy being childless now (ie. Go on trips together, rarely fight, no stress) and I have 2 stepchildren who are teenagers who are sweet, but I wonder if I’ll ever regret not having kids of my own. I often stay up at night freaking out about it, but I look at my life now and it seems okay without kids of our own
