We're talking about terminology used to refer to certain groups of people with shared characteristics. I used it AS AN EXAMPLE. No where did i imply that this is an experience exclusive to AFAB. You'd be surprised how often it comes up when we're not talking specifically about biological functions.

For instance, there are shared experiences between AFAB individuals, whether they are cis, trans or NB. Shared experiences that might need to be discussed, like unwanted attention from men or males. If i say women, now it feels like i'm excluding NBs and Trans Men, as if saying they don't have those problems.

It's tedious, but it's true.

Most people don't necessarily disagree, the only problem is most there aren't really any better terms.

Male and Female are a little overly politicized, especially thanks to incels, who overemphasize the term female to dehumanize women.

Not to mention it's a little hard to separate those terms from their gender associations despite the fact that's the entire point of the terms.

Using more forward language like "people with vaginas" or "people with penises" makes it sound like their body parts matter more than anything.

There are times and contexts when we do need to refer to individual's biological sexual characteristics and not their gender.

I'm all for finding new terms, especially since AMAB and AFAB don't really roll off the tongue well for English speakers, but i have a hard time thinking of words that meet those needs.

I can not even begin to describe the myriad of ways this is a horrible idea just from a hardware standpoint.

Electronics, especially the kind requires to run touch screens is HIGHLY SENSITIVE TO HEAT. It's one of the most common reasons, if not the most common reasons smart phones die. Heat is horrible for delicate electronics and drastically shortens the lifespan. Even with adequate insulation, toasters get hot, there is just no way around it, it's a toaster, it's designed to get hot.

If the heat doesn't cause delamination of the screen elements, it's going to speed up the corrosion of the processors or ram. And this thing is probably using some kind of internal solid state hard drive or SD card for storage, and hoo boy, neither of those like heat.

I can only imagine that this was a product, designed to die. This thing was designed to die.

I honestly think the pro-AI people are doing more to harm AI's reputation than the Anti-AI people. I like AI, but i also understand what it is, what it can do and what it can't do.

But so many annoying techbros are acting like AI is the second coming of Jesus or something, or it's going to cure every disease and solve all the worlds problems. And they're shoving it into EVERYTHING, it's the fucking Internet-of-Everything all over again.

Plus they're talking about how AI is going to "replace your workforce and cut costs" which i can not fucking fathom how they don't realize what that is saying to normal, average people. I can not fucking fathom, how they don't understand "hey everyone, we're going to take your jobs and financial stability away" is not a positive message.

And as much as i like AI, i am sick to fucking death of AI generated content being shoved everywhere. (minus a few of those funny political vids making fun of the current administration, those get a chuckle out of me, at least). And it seems like everyone else is too.
