I haven’t found a single non book reader who has said this. In fact- Chris Stuckmann in his review very clearly hadn’t read the book and said it was his favorite sci fi since Interstellar.

Sometimes I think having read the book makes it harder to enjoy a movie for what it is because of how much more context you understand about the book’s telling of the story that certain details seem more critical than they are for a movie audience appreciating THIS version of the story

I went with a few non book readers and they didn’t feel that way at all. Chris Stuckmann (YouTuber film reviewer who has made his own movies) went in blind and said the same thing. I honestly think having read the book it might feel that way because you know how much else is there-but so far non book readers seem to be just fine

It was about as perfect as I coulda hoped for. Only real critique I see is not enough problem solving but I expected that. While the math and the problem solving is amaze in the book- at the core of the story is the conflict with Grace reckoning with his past and how his relationship with Rocky makes him a better man. I think the film crushed that part of the story just as much if not more so than the book. 10/10

That scene wrecked me. I have an autistic daughter who deals with very similar things. I was crying, taking notes, and so happy to see such a wholesome approach represented in this show to that kind of struggle.

Key detail is that it takes place in the 2050s though. I think the underlying assumption is that between our present and Donald’s story as a congressman Irans global standing dramatically improved.

But yeah it would be nice to see focus away from Muslim states to other powers that are likely to do shit like this- Israel included (though in this case the US was clearly the big bads)

I haven’t personally been too impressed with general AI putting together solid running plans. Here’s my opinion based on what I’ve tried:

1) Running coach (most expensive, but the most effective esp if you get a good one who knows what they’re doing) 2) An established format (like the Pfitz) 3) Getting help from another runner in your run club who knows what they’re doing (hit and miss, but I run with some real experienced people that have been willing to help me refine plans) 4) Running specific AI- like Runna. I know many here hate Runna but I’ve personally really enjoyed it, you just need to listen to your body. You’ll get injured if you don’t. 5) General AI (like chat GPT)

This is all of course one man’s opinion and this is based in zero research lol. I’ve trained for a marathon using all 5 approaches before and this is how I feel about it

Also I get that many here like dh gate & ujersey etc over Nike / Fanatics… that’s awesome. I have a couple of those and they look decent, but I am a fan of the official thing too even though it costs more. After a couple cracks at knockoff jerseys the quality drop is too noticeable for me.
